  • lol why is there no spinning wheel on the ground? it made it imposible to kill him.

  • This final boss is brutal especialy in the european version I get pushed back by lasers and the damn saw, I'm loaded with tons of shield magic but its still not gonna help me cause of the gay tredmill.

Beaten it once decade ago the ending wasn't worth it at all.

  • I have a feeling like the saw blade was sadistically added like "Haha, let's do this joke to Americans and Europeans to piss'em off and have fun picturing their faces as they despair".

  • You have to be fucking kidding me. Not only is the saw missing, but the random direction changing super gay treadmill of death MK2 wasn't there either. I coulda done that shit without getting hit. The US version was a bitch jumping over a saw blade, and trying to get close to Biomeka without the ground changing directions flinging you into it and taking massive damage while getting knocked around by lasers, and a saw blade.

  • Yeah both the JPN and the Turbo CD port (The Dynastic Hero) have much easier bosses. For me its a crap shoot. I'd normally come with a hi potion, an elixer, and I'd equip power and shield and hope I could do enough damage before I ran out of life.

  • i play this when im 7 years old.. now im 24 when i see this video .. tears in my eyes ... the best game of all time... now i have this on my iphone 3g tnx for uploading

  • @edilloc NOT the greatest game of all time.

  • If you look at the laser firing devices, they shoot a lot quicker then they do in the US/EUR versions. If you combined that with the saw blade it would be a lot more difficult. Although maxed out lightning magic fixes them pretty quickly ^^

  • where is the blade lol lame the japs can't stand too much at once i guys because that is too easy i could have done that

  • Shame_the jap game was ur pu**ys where was the blade???????

  • 4 ever and ever best game :)

  • wheres the saw blade?

  • There isn't the saw i original Japanese version :S This version is mooooore easy than the USA/EU one xD

  • i got the master system version but never got megadrive other than graphics whats the difference?

  • FANTASTIC GAME, VERY LONG AND HARD.

  • @xxpaol8xx long?! Hard only at the final boss.

  • @xxpaol8xx Heh heh, long and hard... seriously though, this is a fantastic game, probably in my all time Megadrive top 5.

  • I love the soundtrack... one of my favourite games... i miss these times of gaming...:-(

  • ive only beat that fucker once and it was forever ago...i was only like 6 when i first started playing this game and im 19 now....so its been a while lol and i agree...the US version was a bitch...so much crap goin on at once

  • this game rocked

  • usually the jap versions of games are harder.

  • uuummmmm...why isnt the floor moving in the final boss room?!? dang it...US got the shaft in hardness and in sequels in the wonderboy series!!

  • Now that I see the ending for the Japan version. I don't want to beat the Wii VC version. I'd rather keep my stupid Boss Rush Last level saved game. It's as if the Sega Us translators were so ashamed of the lame "Sprite display" ending they made a IMPOSSIBLE guardian at the end so no one could write and complain.

  • thanks for the vid! love this game!

  • I hated this boss in the english version. yes, it was difficult, but it was so cheap . . .

  • Agreeed!!

  • The only reason I beat it was because I spammed the heck out of the Power spell. >:(

  • that boss is easy, the final boss of the american versions it more hard and fun (sorry, im not good in english)

  • this boss is kinda sucky on the japan version.. way too easy imo, the american/european versions with the moving ground and saw blade aswell as the 2 guns make it more fun and alot harder, sorry but this version of it is just crap...

  • the music is just great here ^^

  • funny

  • I beat this one on the Genesis a long time ago. What frustraited me was the version of the game I played had a shortend ending. After the planet exploded and you see the beam of light take off the credit rolled and you don't see him teleporting back home. I found it a total rip after working so hard at beating him. I remember when I was young calling up SEGA's 800 number and asking them what gives.

  • Tsss. And I though the American/European version boss was easy enough.

  • Wow, the best sega game ever IMO. I loved it. But geez the japanese last boss really takes all and any of teh challenge out. seriously without the moving floor that boss is much of a boss -O-;

  • If you use the code 95TA-B768 (for Game Genie), you will be invincible. But the desert heat and the spikes still hurts you.

  • Wihtout the moving ground it´s very easy, i´ve finished that game with only 11 hearts, i´ve got it for mega drive when i was only 5 or 6. I´ve spent so many hours playing this game... it brings back to me a lot of memories. This game is a real classic game.

  • I don' belive it My favourite game I love Shion wonderboy is the best ..... and space level is awsome and the final boss is hard too beat and i use thunder and power not shield and the flor is move so is too simple but see the ending is so great i wanna play another adventure of Wonderboy

  • Yeah okay, this kind of pisses me off lol I still have this game for the Genesis, and I play it from time to time, just for old times sake. And you're right nickloc the last boss in the American version IS about 10 time harder. The ground randomly moves back and forth, there's a buzzsaw that moves along with it, but isn't synced up, so it's like, OMG ROFLCOPTER ridiculous. I never have beaten him. But this version here is easy mode. :/

  • its 10 times harder with the moving ground , and it seemed like the last boss had a lot more power than that when i played it .. more guns , and a buzzsaw on the ground also ! i recall this being damn near impossible , plus i could never find all the hearts

  • Yeah...there where 2 guns...moving ground and a saw moving in opposites ways (saw right floor left, then, saw left floor right)

My favourite game of all times (sorry for my english but I'm Italian ^^')

  • natsukasiinaa

  • I fuckin loved that game!

  • The game looks silly in Japenese, but close enough.

  • How do you mean? Is the dialogue different?

  • Why is there no moving ground??? O_o

  • Becauce I've already cleared this game once.

  • Ahhh! Ok, I've only played this game on an emulator that cannot save games (I have to use the "save state" option). Thanks.

  • The Sega emulater called "Kega Fusion" can save a normal save game. I was going to ask the same question about that moving ground at the last boss. I only finished this once. It did look kinda weird to me

  • I used Gens, and this is the only game that cannot be saved, I don't know why. By the other way, games like "Wonster world" or "Sonic 3" can be saved by using an .srm archive. And this last boss was VERY difficult, I had to use a Game Genie code to beat it.

  • I know, I used Gens too. You should try Kega Fusion, this game can normally be saved in Kega. Kega is an all round Sega emulater witch does Master System, Sega Cd, Sega Game Gear, Megadrive and the infamous Sega32X.

  • @tumaguro No, it's because the japanese version does not have moving ground(replying to 3 year old comments ftw!)

  • Sugoi !
