This is what some call the destruction of a great soulful song like "At Last". For a singer who has listened to Etta since she was 3,and claiming to have been inspired by soul music, its strange that Christina cannot even sing a soul song. So doing all the "Ooo Ooo Ooo" and "Yea Yea Yea" and giggling in the middle of this song makes Christina a soul singer? Hahaha. This is perfect proof that not everybody who has a huge voice can sing a soulful song, and Christina is that perfect example.

You can also go watch her "Sunday kind of love" performance from when she was 11 and slam her for not doing Etta justice if it makes you feel better. Unlike you, I won't pretend to know a lot about soul music, but I think Christina does a great job with it (James Brown tribute, her B2B and Burlesque albums, etc.); Etta thought so too, you can check out the interview they did together.

I love Christina's voice, but I think Beyonce's version was much better.
It should be about feeling the lyrics and the meaning of the song, rather than showing off.
Beyonce had a lot more soul and a lot more humility, which I think suits the song a lot better than this version.
