  • Your ii needs work.

  • nice video! ^^

  • your kana...

    uhg

    its almost bothersome.

  • Your handwriting is so bad... also, red is aka. when used in a sentence, it generally becomes akai. "Kuruma wa akai desu," for example.

  • Comment removed

  • Not to be rude, but you really need to improve on your writing. Your " あ " looks funny, and your " い " kinda looks like a " こ ". Just saying.

  • omg thats so good =D

  • akai

  • great cool

  • hana= flower

    akai hana = red flower

    tori = bird

    akai tori = red bird

    ringo = apple

    akai ringo = red apple

  • yea!!! i love it!!!...!!!!

  • your strike order is not even right (with the か)..... I suggest you learn well before teaching to others.

  • Does it even matter? Honestly?

I highly doubt my strike order is right in my calligraphy, but it still comes out looking like he exact same thing.

English is my native language and when I write, I draw out the wrong parts first but when I'm finished, you can still read it.

    Who really cares?

  • im not fluent, still learning, but if it can, rain is showing the hiragana, and the kanji is more complicated

  • あかい... Can't it also be written 赤い?

  • lol. this vid got me hyper for some reason :D. Good job

  • いえ!>_>

  • it is いいえ which is iie which means "no" you wrote ie.

  • Yeah.

I've seen people fluent in Japanese leave off doulble characters and have just one.

Like かわいい. Some people just leave it with かわい.

  • thank you!!!!!

  • wow sweet i know how to say red in japanesse =)

  • Your i looks like a ko... Sorry...

    lol

But yeah... This was very good... ^^ I enjoyed the item pile-up.... lol

  • This is good. I wish you had stuff for more complicated kanji, like grade 4, 5 or 8.

  • あかい...success!

  • "ah" looks like a messed up pretzel! xD

  • that was fun! AKAI :D

  • this helps...although it feels like I'm in kintergarden again! xD the music... can't help but laugh at that.

My God you've got a weird choice for musics.

Thank you for this informative and specific vt.

    Lovely music.

    Cheers.

    from,

    del-boy.

  • Will you make a video for question words please??

  • Yeah, here's a tip: All questions end with 'ka'. It's like a spoken question mark. Tack on 'ka' to any question.

  • No no no, I mean the words "what," "where," "who," etc. I can never remember them, and I imagine making a video for them could be successful and fun for you.

  • Nyah! Good idea! Seriously, that's on my list, now.

  • Love the song lol... what is it called?

  • The song is Livin' In the Sunlight Lovin' the Moonlight by Tiny Tim

By the way, I'm loving this little things to help memorize colors. Keep up the good work alluna!

  • Wow, thank you! I'm trying to find time for it!

  • Your videos are awesome!!! Can you do a video on animals? That'd be neat.

  • Hey, that's a great idea! I should do that, I'm running out of colors!

  • Kawaiiii! Sory Akaii! I admire you people how you can be so creative! Akai, akai akai akai akai.

  • this video is rated with 5 akai stars :). there is a lot of akai on youtube. :)

thank you for the video. now my friends won't wear akai anymore because I am going to say the word all the time :)

  • woot. akai.

  • how can red be anything but an adjective?

  • i is added to the end of a word to make it an degective, Kore wa aka desu (that is the colour red) Kore wa akai desu (that thing is red). Hope that helps :P

  • red is also a noun.

  • Great lessons love it helps ALOT arigato!

  • it really shouldn't take 2 minutes and 19 seconds just to learn a single adjective

  • Right you are, but for people learning a multitude of Japanese vocabulary, it helps when at least one word is backed up by mnuemonic devices.

  • Wow that was so long ago. But yea since then i learned that aka is just the color red and akai is used as an adjective...i.e sore was akai kaban desu...That is a red bag...

  • i dont know what the song is called but i think its by tiny tim.

  • Yeah, it's Tiny Tim. If you find out the name, lemme know.

  • wots the song called?

  • It's by Tiny Tim, but I'll have to look up the name.

  • I love your lessons the music is always so happy

plus im going to japan in 4 weeks, yay!

  • this is fantastic I love it!

  • Really,really nice!

    So cute!

Are you a teacher by any chance?

Yeah, because it looked as if you

    used some teaching techniques I'm

    familiar with.

    Keep up the good work!

  • Cant you also say "aka"? Or does that mean something else? I think I read somewhere that red was aka but then I read in another book that it was Akai?

  • red is so very totemo akai! ^^

  • i which u could teach me

  • Your video is wonderful. You are suitable for the teacher. :-)

  • thanks so much for putting this up! now i think the word "akai" is like imprinted in my head after seeing it so many times! i hope you'll continue putting videos up like this. they're really helpful! =)

  • Hey, thanks! I find that brainwashing myself with silly things is the best way for me to learn. It's good to hear that method is helping someone else! Cool comments like these keep me going. ^-^

  • I am new to your teachings/profile. I hope there are more just like this! I hope to also see some Kanji, because your methods are entertaining and very effective.(nice tiny Tim song too) Domoarigatogozaimashita!!!

  • I've got a couple of kanji videos in the works, we're going to start with Kanji that is taught at the first grade level in Japan. They'll be fun and upbeat, and maybe Tiny Tim will play for us again. ;p Thanks!!

  • Ohhh JOY!

  • I never thought of learning it that way! That rocks! Akai Akai Akai...YOSH! Arigato Gozaimasu!
