I have about 10-15 plants vegging, The color temp should be at 6500K I not exactly sure how many lights per plant, but during the vegging stage the intensity of light isnt as important than it is for flowering. 4 seperate four foot T6 fluorescent tubes should be plenty. You can veg for as long as you want, there is really no limit, be you should at least veg 6 weeks from clone or 8-12 weeks if from seed. all depends on your environment.
Sure you can add more soil to the pot, as far as I have learned, the more soil the better for the roots. But if you have no drainage, you might risk "root rot". What material are your pots? if they are plastic, try poke holes in the bottom with a screwdriver or a drill bit to allow proper drainage.
Also, do you mean 18 days in flowering? Are your plants showing any signs of buds yet? If not, you prob put back in veg and flush...
As far as flushing early in flowering, Im am not sure on that, but I know they are more sensitive once the buds are forming, usually around the 3rd or 4th week. What kind of nutrients are you using? Otherwise if the drainage in the pot still is an issue for you then I would recommend getting fabric pots or "Smart Pots".
your girls are looking nice!! Just a quick question,do you need any extra electrical work done to run this setup,or do you power your grow just using a regular outlet?
I thinking about getting a smaller setup to grow some girls, but wondering if I would need more power to run everything.. I would be using cfls bulbs..
The beauty part about using CFL's is that you DO NOT have to set up custom electrical. Most homes can support the amps pushed for cfl set-ups, although some older homes may have issues controlling a hair dryer and dishwasher at the same time. I would suggest confirming your home has modern electrical work, then you should be fine. Avoid using the same socket for everything though. Between my Veg Room and Flowering room combined, I use about an extra 40-50 bucks a month.
@TheWeedYard I do live in a older house that was built in the 50's.But some parts of the house has been updated as far as electrical work.I will need to use 2 different sockets so I don't overload the breaker.the good thing is,that I wouldn't need custom electrical work done.plus an extra 40-50 bucks isn't really that bad for each month..compared to using thousands watts lights bulbs..witch could cost a few hundred a month.. Thank for replying back.. :-) take it easy buddy..
