I have this on tape. I used to watch it all the time. Even back then, I didn't have a sub version. The story is pretty easy to follow, even without subs.

this is such a good anime, wish they made it into a running series, but yeah I felt really bad for the female dragon at the beginning that was horrible. Very sad anime indeed but beautiful nontheless.

people kill what they understand and even if they want to understand it most of the time they refuse to no tmke one self look bad in front of public, Its human nature, sad but true, I hope someday we'll take the chance to understand, Dragons are great creatures, they aren't always destructive but kind as well.
