Most references like that are even farther off. For a show it was pretty close. Besides have you ever seen computer tech accurately portrayed in a film or show? Writers just throw in buzz words for effect, they generally have no clue what they actually mean.

You just need to ignore the details of the references and focus on the story, as this is a fictional world anyway.

Your all saying that they get the reference wrong but if you listen you'd here that Bill says that he has a beta version of the expansion pack so he had a leg up on people.

If you don't know what a beta is then it's a thing that gets tested before it actually comes out for the public. Bill was one of the people testing it. Also Rodney, Elizabeth and Bill are all great actors.

Uh, no. This episode was out long, long before Wrath of the Lich King was even announced. The "level 75" comment is a slipup. TV shows and movies are notorious for referencing things and not getting details correct. Just like saying he is trying to get his Enchanting up, while he is also an Engineer and Jewelcrafter. Storywriters don't always make sure they details are correct when writing dialogue.

I think he was testing her, like he knew she didn't play WoW. Besides, he knew she was on Antartica when WoW came out and went to Atlantis right after so unless the Pegasus galaxy had their own WoW server he had to know she was lying.
