  • perfekt, nur diana damrau singt dieses unsingbare stück musik genau so gut.

die moffo war wirklich eine assoluta

  • great voice

  • A whole lotta scooping going on here! I admire Moffo but she is simply not a great singer. Good? Yes. Attractive (vocally and physically)? Yep. Her attempts at true coloratura are never in a league with Callas, Sutherland, Caballe or any of that remarkable era...ouch! Did she really have to add that F at the end???

  • @MegaAlbaby

Moffo was one of our greatest singers and you think otherwise, you are simply deaf to her incredible and incandescent talent. "Never in a league with Callas." All I can say is thank goodness for that.

  • "La Bellisima" Anna Moffo beautiful voice .

  • I did not know Anna Moffo had recorded "The Voice of Spring" Waltz. I am glad to hear her usual melodious tune in this clip. Behind the shadow of La Callas did Moffo

    glitter well.

  • I am quite sure that Moffo, Battle and Dessay are/were full of admiration for one another. The rest of us can only stand in awe.

  • why cant we just enjoy this wonderful great voice why do we have to find little flaws???? She was simply A M A Z I N G !!!!!

  • gosh the color of her voice is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS... and not only here...

  • I love Anna Moffo's voice. What a colorature! 5 stars!

  • neither dessay or battle can approach even a less than stellar preformance by this soprano !

  • Anything concerning dessay is find; just leave Ms Battle out of this. She is in a class all her own.

  • i like her trills and her coloratura and the final high note(so and so) but i still think that dessay is the best in this! Kathleen battle is also good....and i think that this is not for diana damrau!!!

  • Dessay has lots of beautiful high notes but lacks warmth. This is more suited for Ms Battle.

  • i agree that dessay lacks in warmth! I like ms battle's fruhlingstimmen but there is something missing in her performances.... but i don't want to be misunderstood, ms battle has a wonderful voice :P Oh well... after all nobody is perfect

  • her highnote is atrotious

  • hm... I really do think it was the bad recording as well as Moffo overestimating her range. A high note gone wrong doesn't sound that croaky and scratchy.

  • And so is your spelling.

  • Beautiful warm timbre, coloratura executed brilliantly, and she sings with such joix de vivre!

  • only diana damrau can do it quality.

thanks anna moffo and thanks for posting

  • Well Diana is the best....

  • Is there a version here on youtube where Diana sings this?

  • No unfortunately there's not... I've heard her singing this in Bayern 4 Klassik...

  • ...and you have the mp3?

  • I'm sorry but I have not the mp3 :((((

I'm looking for her registration of this but I'm not able to find it! If I have some news about Diana's Fruelingsstimmen I will tell it to you, be sure...

  • completely disagree...dessay did this song the best

  • Dessay??? is the best in this???

Are you sure???? Maybe it's the only version you have listen to...

    Try with Battle!!!

  • excuse me but ive listend to many including battle whom i love, but this song sounds better with a true coluratura, which battle is not and dessay is, therefore even though battle has a gorgeous voice its not a true coluratura. She doesnt have the technique for it.

  • Oh, please. You're blinded by her wonderful high notes alone.

  • Wow...this woman was fearless! Good stuff! Thanks for posting!

  • Is the high note and the end so sreatchy because of the recording??

  • I don't think so... If my ears don't deceive me, she sings an F6 at the end, which, in my opinion, was a bit of a stretch for her (it's not bad, but it's clearly the edge of her voice) :)!

  • why does she hold it then - just so the ending doesn't sound "messed" up?

  • You should ask her...

  • she died of a stroke due to breast cancer!

  • I adore Moffo, but I really wish she'd recorded this earlier in her career. As good as this is, she wold really ahve rocked it in the late 50s/early 60s.

  • A fun Viennese romp!

  • great voice ...and a wonderful lady she was

  • WOW!!

  • Superb!
