RPGs pretty much never get old. You always find yourself coming back to an RPG you've finished or got bored of.

A lot of the ones we play now won't be played, of course. That being said, RPGs don't really work like that. In the same way that Goldeneye for the N64 was a great game, but isn't played anymore, games today like Halo and CoD aren't going to be played much ( I mean current titles, not future sequels). But the Final Fantasy series have had numerous remakes, and games like fire emblem and the older Dragonquests are still enjoyed. FF7 was even re-issued in the PSN. So yeah, RPGs don't die. :)
