Domestic violence is absolutely repulsive. Although Howard and the rest of the crew say some awfully stupid and ignorant things to which I don't listen, I love the show because Howard has a great set of morals (adoring his parents and sister, he really did love Allison, always loved his daughters) and it shines through all the "crazy antics" and disgusting things that are often done on the show.

And I agree with Howard's (or his therapist's?) theory on mommy issues. Awfully childish.

I love how Howard can only analyze issues with his own problems. It's always the same answer that I'm sure addresses his own physiological problems.

With Beth having left him for a brief period to further her career in LA and his rants on needing her attention I must agree that Howard is venting his own feelings while at the same tome some of us can relate. Of course not to beating and violence but to the unconscious need to be admired by our partner. i.e. we may instigate arguments to get the negative attention by our partner.
