it is kind of like... the reflection was everyones reflection in the mirrors and you know how you cant go through a mirror. and when it broke its like the reflection was free to go out . thats why i think it looked back before going .

i get it. This lego man only sees a reflection and mistakes it for reality and then he 'breaks' the illusion and discovers the real world of only one perspective. Anyway that's a lot in just a little lego film, the director has some serious talent.

article, and it said that the shadows on the wall weren't actually shadows they were reality

so when the lego man busted the glass open

he was in reality. And finds out that they were not shadows?

There's no real right or wrong answer, it's pretty much however you interpret it. Just remember that this isn't a direct adaptation of Plato's Allegory, just mostly inspired by it.

Though I think in the allegory, the shadows on the wall represented a false reality that the prisoners didn't realize because they had never experienced true reality themselves.

The camera switched between the two figures. The camera starts on the figure on the right, then in between the two, then moves to the figure on the left. That's why the hands swapped.
