I'm ganna be like that lady...i'm from southern california and i wish i could bring em to the beaches here!! and give emm a warm place to sleep. My life has just began though,(finally i'm 21) so I can't do much as of this minute :'( i wonder if i can send a direct donation...
this is sooo good the thing you are doing to this kids,... im am only 16 from miami and cannot even picture myself homeless. i wish i could help personally not just by sending money but by actually talking to the kids and playing with them... too bad im all the way around the world
The whole story is that she actually physically used her walking stick to hit the child as he was asking for the soup. The dog was a stray and not her own. I use this example to show the attitude she had towards the children as being lesser than that of the dog.
I have no personal resources - but the generous support of hundreds around the world enable us to continue this work.
Oh I remember Rachael. She was at a church in Papakura a few years ago when I was there. I use to sponsor children through World Vision, I loved getting letters and drawings from the kids, pics of events, encouraging them, etc. I don't think I can just give lump sums to a faceless project. In the end it would be just another bill to pay.
Although we do not on a large scale do this, we do offer donors the opportunity to personally support one child. Please email us if you would like to receive more information.
you are not working for nothing even if u give a cup of cold water you have made a difference Jesus is proud of you. love u sister! hug the kids for me!;)
If they are so hard up, why is one of the kids wearing top of the range trainers then ? Its the kid with the blue trackie bottoms, and blue and white trainers!
The kids are dressed two ways - one by items purchased at the Chinese markets which are mainly rip-off brands and the other way by humanitarian aid donated from around the world. Invariably that means we get some great quality second hand items for the kids. Awesome aye!
On the Living Hope website updates page it says one of their business sponsors donated 80 (??) pairs of fashion shoes to the organisation. Perhaps a similar thing happened for this boy.
There's too many kids on the streets in Russia. Some of them end up in a juvenile prisons which are terrible places there...
