WHEN I OPEN IT IN MOZILLA IT DOESN'T RESIZES FLASH immediately it is set first on default size you have to change the window size of mozilla to make it work.

Is there any code for this ? Or what to do ?

I'm having trouble... I'm a novice when it comes to flash... so Its probably a simple mistake.... but I am having trouble with this... I copied the script perfectly... oh I'm using CS4 Flash Professional... when I publish it or ctrl+enter... the screen flashes...between frame 1 and 2 ... i tried puting stop(); on frame two at the top .. but it doesn't work and then i tried adding gotoAndStop(2); .. but nothing is working.. can u help..thnkz!!

This all works fine but I still have problems with the loading alignment of the page. It all aligns to the TOP LEFT until I start resizing the browser window. This is obviously because I have chosen TOP LEFT in the code, but without it it automatically aligns to the RIGHT once I start resizing the browser window. Is there any way I could get these values to start working immediately when loading the site... instead of things just jumping into place (lets say center position).

@StudioStar ....I would also like to know if there are any way of limiting the objects within the movie to not overlap each other. Let´s say you have a low screen res or just size down your browser window very much. is there a way to stop the objects from moving at a certain point on the stage?

For some unknown reason when I test the scene the image does not automatically go to its set locations. only after the i resize does everything finally fall into place.

Using CS5 could that be part of the problem?

Thanks, you are a very good teacher and this video was just what I needed! I have created a page with flash logo/menu on top and other html objects on bottom. There is interaction between them. The flash is 1800 x 250; the html on the botton is 1800 x 950. I was using screen.width/height to resize both. But the flash text overlaps and distorts etc. Do I need to start with 800 x 600? Hey, this videos are great, but I have a problem... What I´m tryin to do is to load an external .swf on the movieclip where you have the big "Main Section Of this application"... first of all I can´t load it, and I found a code, but doesn´t play, I mean, that external SWF has an intro that doesn´t play, unless I take off the gotoAndStop (2) and the stop() on the second frame, but kinda goes crazy...

In CSS, you can just use percentages instead of solid numbers. That gives it the fluid feel. I have been doing that forever and never knew it was special lol.

Say I wanted to load my UI Loader in place of your "frame" movie clip. Is the code still the same?

I ask b/c when I rempace the movie clip with the UI Loader, it no longer centers it in the screen correctly.

got a few problems though - when trying to reposition buttons using this method in a footer at the bottom of my page - it becomes very difficult to keep everything together

also i have a rotating element which completely jibbs out when it's moving and the page has been repositioned
