I have been watching this movie and the points it makes are valid. Human beings have a distaste for God, His Word, and Christians but they aren't above using the ten commandments can you say weird or hypocritic I think you can. I seen this movie. I started watching it midway through when it was on the "fetus aren't humans" lie. I took it seriously at first; thinking these were actual scientific lies. Then the more I watched I figured out this was just a Christian-propaganda piece. Earth IS billions of years old, that's a fact, and there is no proof of a God, therefore you cannot call it a lie. This movie was just embarrassing itself.
How ironic that the fundamentalist christians would make a film about "Lies". One of their favourite "Lies" (The "Lie" that people are fundamentally "good") reveals all you need to know about what christians think of themselves and the people around them.

Is it me or from a purely objective point of view is religion losing its influence on mass consciousness? It seems so. Many people seem to avoid anything to do with organized religion. I just ordered it from Rogers On Demand. I was looking forward to watch an eye-opening film based on facts. On the contrary, I was very disappointed that it was a religious film and was especially enraged that neither its title nor the description reflect that. You may find a quicker and more steadfast ally who will honestly listen to your beliefs that our government is becoming corrupt and that we should do something then you would by many of your own friends.
Some will say this stuff because they are concerned where our nation is headed. Christians might say this stuff too out of equal concern, but also to warn people that the time is coming and we need to make our lives right with God before it's too late.

Well, actually, it's never really too late until your dead, but what I mean by "before it's too late" is before it's too late to escape the horrendous times that are soon to come upon this earth. We do not know the day nor the hour, it's not October 21, but it can be anytime. God will call His people suddenly without warning. All we know are the signs we were told to look for and the prophecies we ever increasingly see the plausibility of coming to pass.

Go talk to any Imam in North America, they'll tell you that Islam never encourages violence and any violence in the name of Islam is simply a misinterpretation. Just like how you seem to have misinterpreted the Bible. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure God and Jesus don't encourage discrimination, stereotyping or hatred.

I'm going to go ahead and be offended when I'm told that I'm not equal to my male friends, or that my Muslim friends are violent because of their religion. I get some of the top marks in grade and enjoy playing sports, with guys. I feel pretty equal.

If the Bible has been read without prior religious belief it becomes quite clear that Jesus survived the crucifixion and did not die to begin with. For 2000 years, Christianity has been based on the belief Jesus died on the cross (many say "for our sins") and rose again from the dead. Think of the impact this one belief has had on the world, and on many of us personally. Wars have been fought,
millions have died, and millions more have lived lives of guilt and shame based on this belief.

@bumswick Why are you blaming Christianity for the sins of man though? So if I say "let's all have peace" and the only way to do that is to kill babies does that mean the idea of peace is wrong or that my human sinful nature is just corrupting the message? Holy wars were fought as a guise to greedily get money and land, something God does not condone. Why would you say the pure message of love thy neighbor and everything else is wrong because people have corrupted it for their own selfish needs?

Peace is not an outside job,,, it comes from the stripping away of all the bullshit all the lies all the concepts. Stripping to ones naked core, even stripping away the sense of I that is held onto so tightly to give me this false identity. It is a deep and hard objective look at what this player I call me believes about my reality, and challenging those beliefs until there is nothing left but a simple truth.
The world around you is a reflection of your inner workings. Thats all!

This is a sales pitch for Christianity. For some this path may offer comfort and hope. If you are someone fearing damnation and need to feel salvation. Give er.
For me this movie held no depth. It is an example of why I never went back to religion and feel no desire to go back. It is an obsession with Jesus and a desperate attempt to silently convince oneself that Jesus was real, and then trying to sell the world that he and God are real.
This becomes very clear in the last 30 minutes or so.

Who came up with the concept of needing to be saved by Jesus? If I see jesus in the street I will kill him. And I would be willing to bet he would tell me to do so. I bet he would tell me not to follow him, but go where he points too. I bet he would also tell me to abandoned the religious path as it leads no where.

@fromdeath2life He may be the lord in your eyes, but for many who are on a relentless journey for truth and heading towards the digestive juices of spiritual autolysis or stripping away everything that is un true and then and only then exp that which is true the BS detectors become more and more sensitive, once a layer of false belief is stripped away it can never inhabit that mind again.
You can quote the bible or scripture all you want,,, more subtle distractions I have no interest in.

@bumswick It's not even a sales pitch for just Christianity I wager, but for a specific evangelical sect. Including Ray Comfort in the mix makes this obvious to me. Before even watching it. I can predict that this film will contain: refuted talking points, straw man versions of existing counter-arguments, logical fallacies, misdirection, lies (although not the "lies" it titled itself from) and pretty CGI for distraction. Since you've seen it, how close to home did I hit?
