  • Would love a "where are they now?' on these guys

  • Oh WOOOOOOWWWW, did I ever enjoy these girls...a lot...back in the day!!!

  • now in stereo ;) hehe

  • I REMEMBER THIS!!!!!!!!!

....i always thought these people were Kryptonians dancing on Krypton with those Pillars....beams....poles...or whatever those things were in the background.

  • I remember watching this as a kid! What great memories.

  • Remember when Marilyn McCoo used to host..??? Whatever happened to her???

  • I had the biggest crush on ILene as a kid. Later I worked a job in Cleveland Ohio and we got to talking about old tv shows.Well solid gold came up and I worked with Ilenes son Mike kinda ironic

  • I love both Dionne and the announcer provided a little history to go along with the songs/performers.

  • This was my absolute favorite show growing up! Sooooo wonderful seeing it again! Thank u SOOOOO MUCH 4 taking the time to post! I wish they came out on DVD!! Every other show is!!

  • I love the choreography to "West End Girls": VERY sexy and Jamilah is beautiful as always!!

  • Oh my GOD, it's Adam Carrington from Dynasty co-hosting. Ha! Another favorite show of mine. At first I thought it was him, then I thought it must be Randy Travis, but no it's Adam. What a trip!

  • Miss Warwick's wardrobe:

    Dionne's closet

    hahha XD

  • DUDE! Wonderful stuff! This was by far my favorite grouping of dancers.

Thanks for posting and please keep em coming.

  • Thanks for the comment!! I will as long as I can get my hands on more stuff to post!

  • 25 years ago i sed this program in Colombia, i remembered specially to the solid gold dancers, they were fantastics. Thank you

  • You are very welcome! Thanks for commenting!

  • 0:22 My Pennsylvania lottery numbers are 528 and 5497. What do I win?

  • Being that this was about 24 years ago, I would say you've won the satisfaction of knowing that at some point in time, you had the winning numbers! Good Job!

  • Wow, yet another super clip. I particularly love the Hotel Cali routine, its somehow truly reflect the spirit of the song.

  • Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

  • Was this all from one show? I know I've seen the #1 song routine on another SG countdown. Oh, well.

AND, the Darcel routine from "What Have You Done For Me Lately?" here is the ABSOLUTE BEST ROUTINE SHE EVER DID! Thanks for posting.

  • Yes - this is from 1 single episode. I have seen it posted before also, but I don't know that they used it in another weekly countdown. It is quite possible, that if this episode originally aired in the fall of 1985 they used the footage again in the Countdown 85 special (airing in Feb. 1986). For some reason they re-used A LOT of dancer footage in that special.

  • Thanks for continuing to upload what you got. Keep them coming. Love you for it.

  • Thank you and you're welcome.

  • the outfits for 'calling america' were the ones they wore on the country show i was telling you about.....minus the goofy wigs....and add some killer white cowboy boots.....

  • Have you noticed that the outfit you mentioned is one of the few that lasted all six seasons of Solid Gold?

  • Now that you mention it, I thought they looked familiar! LOL!

  • there was actually many more that went thru all 8 seasons, just a little change here or there......the red in the opening seen here, was wore by gigi in 87 with a red wrap for a skirt......

  • The big black belt seen in the Solid Gold in Concert - Solid Gold Dancers "Letter" number can be seen all over the place, from Pam's black outfit in her 8x10 glossy to multiple numbers through out the years. Ricki did an amazing job of re-working the pieces in to new looks.

  • Amazing how a couple of changes with accessories and BOOM, totally different look! From Country to Futuristic.

  • "Calling America" was one of my favorite ELO songs from the 80's - too bad it was their last top 40 hit!

  • This was the redeeming season. With Dionne Warwick returning to host, the original flavor of the show sort of returned. It's unfortunate that Solid Gold had to change so drastically after this season. It was the last of the "good" seasons.

  • rick dees was different, he wanted to be funny, I don't know what is he doing nowdays?

  • The last I heard he was back on the radio here in the Los Angeles area. A smaller radio station, nothing like KISS FM.

  • great, that season was amazing, thanks for post it, the vid is great

  • I think my favorite seasons were 4 and 5. 4 because there was still Tony and 5 because I went to the taping of Solid Gold many, many times that year and got to meet Pam, Gayle, Mark, Cooley, Lezlie, Nicole, Beverly

  • You did not get to meet Jamilah???

  • She was there, but talking to other fans each time. So no I never got to meet her "officially".

  • What were the taping sessions like and were the SG dancers friendly? Did you speak to Dionne or Marilyn? Keep these great clips coming. Thank you.

  • The dancers were ALWAYS really nice and friendly. i never met Dionne or Marilyn, but I did meet Rick Dees (I know - big deal!). Since I was there to meet the dancers, I really didn't care that I only met RD. LOL!

  • One of the best seasons of "Solid Gold", and a hell of an improvement over the disaster known as Rick Dees!

  • I totally agree. It's the season that I recall the most. I wish these dancers had lasted longer together. Dionne and Marilyn were the best hosts.

  • This season is really starting to grow on me. I missed most of it because by that time I was in my 2nd year of university studies and working and practicing, etc so I didn't catch it as often as I wanted, since usually when I had free time wasn't when SG was on!!
