Rondos a good player, thrives in boston, which i think is the reason hes as highly regarded as he is, hes got 3 allstars surrounding him, put him on boston 4 years ago and see how his stats are, pierce is the heart of the team, garnett may be getting old but his leadership is what drives bostons intensity, ud know that if u watched the playoffs 2 years ago, rondo can put up decent numbers on odd nights but hes not amazing, a 3 point shot would really expand his game, hes shooting like 0.140%

Rondo is definitely top 5 PG right now.

Rondo's jumpers (about ~40%) aren't even bad, although he misses open shots does not mean he doesn't deserve top 5 position.

Even his stats explains everything: 57% FG,

top 5 in assists per 48 minutes, and the leader in steals.

When chris paul was doing about the same last season, people were shouting "Paul is #1"

however, when rondo does about the same but with better FG%, rebounds, and assists, some still do not believe that hes not top 5.

Rondo can put up some big numbers, but I think its mostly because other players don't guard him. Example, Rondo is always left open for a med range shot and always fouled due to his poor ft %. In most games no one is actually guarding him, just roaming around. There is no doubt that he can make plays for his team, but if someone actually guard him, his numbers would certainly drop. Unlike Rando, the great PG, such as CP3, Dwill, and Parker are a threat and sometimes require 2x team.
