  • could someone please look at my hitting vids, i really need some help in finding out what im doing wrong wit my swing!

  • WRONGO the right thing to do is to stride (step) and separate (load) and then swing. my hitting coach is a major league scout for the white sox

  • there are different hitting methods... there are differnt types of philosophies on how to get the most backspin. load and step is this guy's way of sayign stride and load. in my opinion i do stride and load at the same time, initiate with the a pivot and punch my hands thru the ball. i just use this drill to work on fundamentals

  • yup - your actually right - the loading and seperate phase all happpen together in order to create the resitence needed to torque around and rip the shit outta the ball. Loading alone is wrong and step along is wrong - it has to be ont movment otherwsie timing balance and everything is wrong

  • so is a lousy scout wishing he was a hitting coach- or a lousy hitting coach banished to watch HS baseball everyday? Who besides you does he teach. Did he scout you? What level do you play on sk8? So may hitting gurus with no credentials- thats the internet for you.

  • The load happens the same time as your stride. Another way of saying this is walking away from your hands. The instructor on this video is WRONG. Read Ted Williams book, Mike Schmidts books or Derek Jeters new video.

  • thank you javvilin for posting these vids they really help

  • its just to train your swing to have muscle memory, its a good drill, i do tee work 200x per day since last month and ive already seen results just doing that drill with a regular bat and ball
