  • I agree with most of the points. But things to add. Anime is too overdramatic period. Not just the deaths.

The excessive amount of blood is an anime thing.

    Filler scenes are just annoying.

And the cleavage thing? While American comics do have a lot of female characters with huge boobs, shows do not spend extra time animating the boob bounce. In other words, too much fanservice.

  • 8. Only started noticing it after watching this vid, but i guess thats the price we pay for getting such detailed charaters and etc.

    7. I think they overuse samurais more

    6. Doesnt really annnoy me

    5. No it wasnt ment to show to children in japan anime focuses on more mature audiences like video games.

    3. Still doesnt annoy me.

    2. Yea spongebob is totaly normal

  • FLCL went on air in Japan June 2000, and Halo released in November 2001. I only agreed with one thing you said. There are far too many demons ( to the point that it has become cliche). Everything else is just bleh. But you're entitled to your opinion. My suggestion is that you only watch Western animation (and no Anime at all). This will save you some heart, and some of us that are fans of anime from your rants.

  • Dude. It's.....wait, are you trolling or...? XD But oh well. OBAMA FUCKING SUCKS, TRUE DAT.

  • 1 (part one) - Children die in the media of every single country. And it is NOT for comedic effect - it's for emotional impact. The Russian movie Ivan's Childhood depicts the rather gruesome death of the main character, Ivan, who was only twelve years old, and it is an absolutely amazing movie because of it. The emotion it holds speaks to the audience.

  • @SetoKaibaman

1 (continued) - Or there's The Good Son, an American movie, in which the entire point of the movie is that one child had to die for the other to live. I suggest you watch the anime movie Grave of the Fireflies. It gets this point across very clearly, and I don't know a single person who did not cry during that movie because the emotion is so raw and heartwrenching. If you can't handle those sorts of things, then don't watch drama anime. Watch something mindless like Shin-chan.

  • 2 - You think teddy bears and Hitler are bizarre? American cartoons are often centered on anthropomorphized animals. Just look at Disney, Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, Rocko's Modern Life, etc. The bizarre characters don't stop there - we have talking toasters and vacuum cleaners, a sponge that lives in a pineapple, a guy named Freakazoid...none of these strike you as bizarre? Comparatively, anime has far more realistic characters than American cartoons because it has a much wider target audience.

  • 3 - Really? You're saying it's wrong to cradle the body of a person you love who just died in front of you? That is something that happens in movies and shows in every culture because it's a human reaction. They dramatize death to make an impact.

  • 4 - Pretty much the same reason for number 8. However, in this case, still frames are often used for dramatic effect. Things don't have to be moving ALL the time, especially in extremely colorful and flashy anime like FLCL. Sometimes you need a little break. In one episode of Pokemon, they didn't have any breaks in the animation and children all over Japan had seizures as a result. Think about that.

  • 5- You need to realize that not all anime is for kids. Most anime is made for teenagers and young adults. The anime that's made for kids is very tame in this department. Look at Kodocha or Digimon or Doraemon or Pokemon - there's no fanservice in those shows because they know who the target audience is.

  • 6 - You're watching the wrong anime. Most anime is not gory. You've just been watching the wrong ones. I personally love gory anime, but I know it's not for everyone. It's actually pretty hard to find ridiculously bloody anime. If you don't like gory anime, don't watch it. It's like saying, "I hate American movies because there's always sex in it!" Well...watch a movie without sex. Herpderp.

  • 7 - Demons are used so often in their shows because IT'S THEIR RELIGION. Demons in Japanese culture are not the same as demons in Christian culture. Asking why so many anime feature demons is like asking why so many American shows mention God or other Judeo-Christian symbols. It's simply the culture.

  • 8 - Yes, some anime do use repeated frames for speech, but not all anime is like that. Keep in mind that a lot of these are pumped out very quickly to fit certain seasons. Asking for intricate animation in every single frame is like asking for perfect special effects in a daytime TV show. It's just not going to happen because of budget and time restraints. Also, a great deal of American cartoons are actually animated by Japanese studios. Even iconic cartoons from our childhood, like Animaniacs.

  • 9 - They aren't "ripping off" anything. Fullmetal Alchemist is called that because he's an alchemist and has metal prosthetics. Go figure. And FLCL was actually made BEFORE Halo was, so there's no way it could have ripped off Master Chief. You were just grabbing at straws there.

  • I really don't think you've been watching the right anime. Let me go through the list.

10 - In Japanese culture, large eyes represent innocence and purity whereas small, slanted eyes represent shadiness and mistrust. Like in Higurashi, for example - when things are fine their eyes are wide, but when the madness starts to show, their eyes narrow. They're not imitating Americans at all - Japanese people's eyes are actually rather large compared to the rest of East Asia.

  • Part3: but for anime, they like to use human anatomy most of the time WHILE trying to give that effect. This is just my opinion, so please respect me for it. Thank you.

  • Part 2; expect them to be like us? We can't. It does annoy me that they don't use as much animating but they can only do as much as they can, they have very tight budgets and asking them to do that is asking them to create a spiffy movie within some much time as the next airing of an episode. This is not just a problem in anime but American cartoons too, in american cartoons, like looney toons, they're bodies are made up of simple shapes to make it easier for animators to give realistic effect,

  • Yikes, you've got it bad. I understand some of the things you hate about it but get this: they only supersize they're eyes for artistic expression. Some think it's cute and others can get something out of it. In American cartoons things are also manipulated to be bigger, but not like anime, still, somehow it manages to fit human proportions but of course it cannot be done in reality. The gore thing, the cleave he thing. I agree muchly, but the title naming is part of THEY'RE culture, how can we

    7. yes you've got a point.

    6. not all animes have that, but the ones that do, do it for dramatic purposes. it's just a part of anime, deal with it!

.5 you've got a point ones again, japan has a big obbsession with this stuff, although i personaly don't care for it.

    4. it's style anime has, just like cartoons have, i don't see the problem...

    3. i can't defend that... yeah higurashi, elfen lied, in some cases the school days game has it. i personaly odn't have a problem with it.

  • 10. japanese animators got girls especially big eyes because pepole in japan think it's cute. this isn't directed rasicm towards americans in any way.

    9. it can be debated, some think anime has it others think not. it depends on the person. i don't see how that head is a rip-off of master-cheif.

    8. it's not like they use 3 of the same frames for like 2 mins, the camera varies. in most instanses they'r face only move yeah, but so what? animation is moving pictures! even cartoons.

  • Okay, I like anime, yet I still agree with you on some parts such as character design, ridiculous titles, and the lack animation in the expository scenes. However, some parts you probably should have thought of a bit more from a story telling aspect, like the scene from Claymore. Imagine, if you will, someone very important to you died in front of you. You'd probably do something similar. Holding the body of a dead loved one is a perfectly natural response and is shown in all forms of media.

  • @DarkAnewbyss-Again, another anime fan missed the point. You anime fans never seem to refute my list, you only want to make it seem as if I've created some sort of double standard because my country does the same thing. I'm sorry, but that's not refuting anything. I don't care what my country does, my arguments only pertain to anime.

  • @dalek14mc You make it seem like other forms of cartoons don't do the SAME thing anime does. Your list may pertain to anime, but the way you say it makes it seems like anime is the only one guilty of your list. Other country's do the same thing (except the big eyes, boobs and weird names.) You whine about anime killing children and even say we should be in a uproar. When American cartoons do the same thing and you base your opinions on your feelings. Not facts. How does anime make you dumber?

  • @DarkAnewbyss Where's the scientific evidence? Where are the articles? I like all types of cartoons. I grew up on American AND Japanese animations. Both have their strengths and weaknesses, but you are criticizing something you have no idea about. You don't watch anime, so why criticize it? You're not basing it off of anything but how you feel. You don't like anime, you think it's dumb, therefore everyone who watches it is dumb. No that's bias and not founded by anything but personal feelings.

  • @DarkAnewbyss At least a legit critic will watch or do research about on the material he's criticizing. Do you know anything about half the animes you showed clips of? Like Fullmetal Alchemist. The ONLY thing Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Jacket have in common are the titles. Their plots are no where near the same. Then for the children killing bit, you only showed 3 to 4 clips over and over. You make it sound like ALL anime kills kids. If you don't like it that's fine.

  • @DarkAnewbyss Just don't go around criticizing something you have no clue about. That's like a movie critic criticizing a movie he's never seen or even wants to see.

  • Oh I thought of some action shows. Superman, which in my opinion is overrated. I mean he has ALL this power and yet instead of just killing Lex Luthor off, he sends him to jail, JUST so he can get out and get just a little bit better at killing Superman? American cartoons do this A LOT with reoccuring villians and the characters have little to no growth as a character. They pretty much STAY THE SAME!

  • Oh yeah about the killing kids thing. South Park kills a kid in just about EVERY episode and it's not even sad. It's considered funny and entertainment. So yeah I pretty much just debunked every last one of your 10 points. The worse part? I didn't even have to try! Sure for SOME things I had to do research, you know that thing you never did, to make sure I wasn't just being some douche, but most of this is common even to non anime watchers.

  • And not something dismissive as "Well that's your opinion." No defend your claims, like you keep telling others to do. You didn't do any research into these animes, you just used what YOU thought about them, with little to no research done beforehand. It shows in your video how little you know about anime, or other cultures for that matter. Everything you said was your assumption and you know what they say about assuming things "You make an ass of yourself" which you did... Ass...

  • And they have too much gore? Pffft please, I see more gore in a Horror movie or in action movies in general. Also have you SEEN Family Guy? In one episode, Peter cuts off his FUCKING hand. Stewie locks kids at the playground in a dungeon. This is all for LAUGHS for entertainment! In anime if children die it's SUPPOSED to be disturbing and sad, not used for entertainment like you put it. I hope you see these and I'd like your opinion on them.

  • Plus animes have characters with large eyes to show EMOTION. What's the saying? The EYES are the windows to the soul? And uh hi not EVERYONE uses their hands to speak. I know plenty of people who talk with JUST their mouths and have you WATCHED anime? Oh nope, you just got some RANDOM clips and strung them together. For the most part, the character is doing SOMETHING whilst talking. They actually DO move their hands or their heads when they laugh or cry.

  • American animation is geared more towards comedy and the bull they DO produce that have action in them are rip offs of anime! Byakugan is a rip of Yugioh and Pokemon and is GOD awful. Ben 10 is the only exception, but it's a ok show at best. I can't even think of that many action American cartoons. Just comedy and those are just dumb nowadays. Sure Looney Tunes was great (old NOT new), Rugrats, Hey Arnold, but where are the action?

  • @DarkAnewbyss You do know that bakugan is an anime right? Not byakugan, stop reading naruto and try to do a valid arguement.

  • @ShujinSaiko91 You're right haha. My bad, totally mixed up the names and it is a anime... A shitty anime, but a anime nonetheless. Thank you kind sir

  • You should probably check the ratings for the shows you showed in your video. I doubt most of them are geared towards little kids. Also anime is made in Japan, where they are not so gunhoe about censorship. Which I applaud them for. I mean why subject grown adults to censorship just because some people don't like it? Change the channel. Also anime to me has much more emotion than American animation. When was the last time American animation made you want to cry?

  • Also stupid titles? Naruto is the name of the main character in the show. Flcl is an actual term that means to grope. Fullmetal Alchemist is the title the main character is given. He is an alchemist and he has a metal arm and leg, hence fullmetal. They use boobs in anime to appeal to perverts, which there are a lot of. I am sick of it too, but I understand how they're aiming at. Also most of the anime you showed is geared towards adults.

  • Wow dude it's just funny. First, you yourself say you don't watch anime, so WHY are you commenting on it? Also, Flcl was aired before Halo even came out so that point is invalid. Also, I happen to think American cartoons make you dumb. Family Guy for example, while funny, is not something I'd want my kids to watch. It has nothing to teach you whatsoever. Ed Edd n Eddy is a Canadian cartoon so not only do you NOT know about anime, but you barely know American cartoons.

  • いいえ、私はあなたが死ぬ見たい

  • ハハ!あなたはとても白いね

  • anime characters eyes are drawn large because large eyes style allowes characters to show emotions distinctly

  • maybe you should take thsi video off, your just going to get people ranten over and over and over, i mean you have the right to vioce your opinyen (spelling sucks) dont get me wrong I like westen cartoons but anime just seams better then westen catoons thats my opinyen, but the guro, boobs and killing childen part, family guy south park, american dad simpsons futurama, war, horror, and sci-fi movies have them in, plus disney and warner brothers had hitler in there cartoons

  • @Narishia98-LOL, you've posted comment upon comment, and yet, you haven't refuted anything.

  • I'll bet he used this as his thesis in an essay for school: call to action, really? Motherfucker!

  • @ShippoLoverGirl33-I'm not forcing my opinion on people, I'm merely stating my opinion. There's a big difference. The fact that you hate the video is irrelevent.

PS -"If you don't shut up right now.........." Or what? What can you possibly do? If you're going to do what I think your going to do, here's what might, or will, happen to you:

    False Flag: Counter-notice, and/or suspension.

False DMCA: Counter-notice, suspension, and/or go to jail.

    Take your pick.

  • your video is so stupid it doesn't deserve a comment

    oops

  • i just dont like those scenes where characters just call out each others names for like 10 fucking minutes. and I hate innocent characters.

  • Comment removed

  • i love anime and cartoon equal

  • Anime is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than us animation

  • @kjriwoutube-I think you're going to be hardpressed to back up that claim.

  • @kjriwoutube No bullshit. It has WAY more imagination. That's why we don't just call it a cartoon, because it has a more unique culture to it.

  • a couple of years ago a men tell me that Japanese drawn huge eyes because some of their ancestors are indian so indians eyes are little more bigger that japanese eyes so this traumatized the japaneses to the poit they exagereated this trope at the moment of drawing characters

  • @ParadisePrettyCure-These are augments that prove nothing, you need to try harder.

  • @dalek14mc YOU need to try harder. You are making a fucking generalization, and it's childish. C'mon! "Anime is bad for children"? "Anime" is the Japanese word for animation. So you're telling me that Dora and Spongebob aren't appropriate for kids? GET A FUCKING LIFE! Pokemon is totally apropriate! YES! Pokemon is an anime! Besides, as you know, Japan doesn't get much pay, so they have to put in at least SOME form of pornography to sell it better. That's why they have such large boobs.

  • @Narishia98 (Continued) Back to the death. In case you didn't know this, KIDS DIE IN REAL LIFE! And that anime you were watching was NOT butchering little children. Plus, horror movies from america almost always have a kid being attacked. (13 GHOSTS, for example) It's kinda obvious that this isn't for kids. Kenny ALWAYS dies in South Park, and it's a cartoon.

  • watch?v=_CLgpd241Aw

  • good job man

ps, Full metal jacket is my favorite movie of all time

  • Btw u forget ur watching/ reading anime/ manga its a lot like the spawn comics exept less gruesome and morbid its also I guess a lil like halo except has a great story

  • Man u should rlly watch the guyver it is nothing like this mainstream shit u see on CN, that overuses this stuff, but don't get me wrong I agree with u on all this stuff and guyver is nothin like it the creator jumps through hoops to make it as realistic and awsome as possible, but unfortunately his work only continues on through his manga

  • i bet your the same person that loves pokemon

  • @jewish5555-I never said I didn't. BTW, why the hell should you care how I pronounce "anime?" I pronounced it as any other anime fan would. This argument is just meant to disract me from the real argument at hand. It's nothing but an ad hominem attack.

  • @dalek14mc Paranoid dumbass. And no, you don't. Pokemon is pronounced "ay", and anime doesn't have the extra stress you put at the end of it. Less emphasis, idiot.

  • dude the reason anime characters have big eyes is because in the earlier stages of Japanese animation they were kinda inspired by disney animation dumbass

  • @DOOMRPG Exactly.

  • Lol at the angry weaboo losers. Grow up and stop watching children's cartoons.

  • do your research 1st that NOT a hitler mustage in that time people had those cough charlie chaplin cough 2th anime isnt bonded to an age japan does thing different instead of focusing on 1 audience

instead focusing on multiple one's 3. american animation XD every country has the same style of animation the only exception of the rule is japan so its just as much american then it is dutch or german etc

  • This is just a bad troll, and the fact that it has worked just shows how retarded hardcore anime fans are.

  • @rockgod111-Retarted? You mean like you?

  • @dalek14mc *Retarded

  • One Does not simply phase into 4chan.

  • I do believe that OP doesn't get any pussy either, and well, I don't think that surprises anyone considering that he's making fun of anime. And lets face it, you're asking to get trolled whether you want to or not. You're in a losing fight to point out the flaws, and no one really cares what you think. And what kind of man doesn't like cleavage anyway? :3

  • @BluIV true that all men love that tits and booze ftw ^^

  • Comment removed

  • You Have a very broken view of Anime. Maybe if you watched it a tad more you would begin to like it. In Other words Kanti looks nothing like Master chief and Kanti came around long before Master chief.

  • lol this guy cant say anime right. its people like this guy is the reason why so many people think Americans are studied. also I wanted all the kid in school days to die they where all horrible people and really studied.

  • @cdcat1-Um, idiot, I pronounce that exact same way that all other anime fans say it. Of course, you have no problem with the way they pronounce it.

  • @dalek14mc you know what I take back what I said that you cant say anime right. You just say it kind of strange but its not wrong.I'm not going to take back the "its people like this guy is the reason why so many people think Americans are stupid (yes i know i spelled it wrong) " The reason is because you did no research on anything you talked about in this video. Witch if you did do some research you still could have done this video and not get so much hate for it.

  • 1 of the top worst people i have ever known....

  • This dude's troll level is borderline genius. Congratulations good sir. Congratulations! :)

  • Y did that girl pick up the otherones head you ask?that was her sister dumbass!!! A sibling!!do u have anything better to do instead of pouncing at anime?!get a life , jackass!!!!

  • @SuperAnimelover46 Well it wasn't her sister but the only person in her life that ever cared about her.

  • this guy does not know how much money anime creator can get.

its almost nothing...anime is not like Disney movie that earn millions over the world.

i think this guy has never painted a picture. sorry for my bad english

  • @hea4123-I was actually in advanced art for three years.

  • @dalek14mc and gave it up and after giving it up you try to show other people you know art better than they do anime is said like ANIMAIIIII

to me i think this is one big hate speach to japan animations

  • why do you keep pronouncing anime like that? I thought that some of your delivery was funny, but in general most of the things that you hated are perfectly okay. And actually, very few anime show graphic deaths involving children...even though you seemed to emphasize the ending of "schoool days" repeatedly.

  • @forgotten823 ending of school days was the best part everything before it just made me hate all the kids

  • As for the huge eyes: Japan is the origin of the phrase "the eyes are the windows to the soul" thus characters are mostly defined by their eyes. However, it also serves as a revenge against the U.S for the way they portrayed asians in movies and cartoons, the tiny lines instead of eyes which makes them look like kids with down-syndrome. So Japan retaliated with characters with ginormous eyes who look like they just got sodomized.

  • My most hated anime-cliche is the "transformation-sequences".

  • How can people complain about this video? Like his reasons or not, they are 100% true.

  • yo idiot ed edd and eddy is canadian.

  • @YogieMcStogie-Screw yea overused keyframes.

  • Fuck yea disney templates /watch?v=hjmaOj3_sKk

  • @comrade110397-As opposed to your claims, which are nothing but ad hominem attacks?

  • 5. True in some cases as well (this and the previous one, are action stuff. You see this in western movies as well).

    4. Ultimately depends on budget and time. You're pretty good at picking out rare examples of cheap animation.

    3. WTF ARE YOU LOOKING AT? that shit ain't no normal anime.

    2. I'm starting to get the idea that you are aware of how shit your arguments are...

    1. There's like what... Higurashi and two other series EVER that this happens in? happens in western movies as well, more often

  • @FunkyRaspberry so backing up on all your arguments ^^

also in 1. yeah... in all those war movies children are first raped and then slaughterd while in Anime it only happens in a few of them ^^ Higurahi, Elfen Lied(if i'm rememberring corectly), Umineko, Mirai Nikkii and a few others...

also yeah... 2. is true too ^^ i mean sure they have some strange characters now and then but that makes it more interesting to watch (instead of some movies where basicly all characters are alike ^^)

  • 10. Only goes for mor cartoony animes, since it's considered cute.

    9. Point taken, but it usually takes some understanding of the story to get the title. Like "Cowboy Bebop", the story is about bounty hunters, nicknamed "cowboys" by the people, and bebop's a music genre heavily used in the series.

    8. You looped a 1 second clip for the anime example... it's quite visible.

    7. False. Shit would make more sense to you if you would read a bit on Shinto lore.

    6. True in some cases. (..continuing..)

  • Why didnt you show stuff from Evangelion. That show has to be the most screwed up Anime ever made.

  • @comrade110397-Presupposing that someone is a troll, that alone proves that your an idiot.

  • @dalek14mc No, no it does not. Again, your claims are unbased, and are intended to agitate others instead of proving a point.

  • Jeez, if you are going to troll, at least make an attempt to be funny, or make your self sound like you have some intelligence for god's sake....

  • @comrade110397-If you're going to be an idiot, then leave.

  • @dalek14mc Prove that i am an idiot, and i will leave

  • You know, for someone who doesn't watch a lot of anime, you seem to have a lot to say about it.

10.) "Huge eyes" are supposed to be attractive.

9.) Fooly Cooly is another way of saying "Sexual Activity".

8.) Idle faces are used when the "boring dialog" has vital points of info.

7.) Demons are part of the culture.

6.) Gore is an attention grabber. Didn't you know that?

5.) Cleavage is an attention grabber.

    4.) Another attention grabber.

    3.) Attention grabber.

    2.) Done for comedic purposes.

  • @CleansWithRag

1.) Not only is it an attention grabber, but it adds drama to the story.

It seems to me that you're just looking for a fight where none is to be found.

Don't like it? Don't watch it. Simple as that.

  • You know, Hitler was in an episode of captain planet. I guess american cartoons get away with it too.

  • I got some time, let's go through your list.

    10. They have huge eyes because they it's easier to draw, that's pretty much the main reason.

    9. Most the titles mean something in Japanese or relate to the show Fooly Cooly = sex, or ecchi things.

    8. A lot of anime takes a fuck ton more time to animate than an episode of Ed, edd and eddy, of course they will make cuts where most people don't give a shit.

    7. Of course they will use demons, in their culture it is normal, learn the culture thencriticize

  • @Synystergates1011

    6. It's not suppose to be realistic, besides, have you ever seen someone get stabbed in the artery? It spurts out blood like crazy.

    5. Sex sells, deal with it.

    4. see #8

    3. If you just saw your mother die, would you not hold her in your arms? Even if it was a severed head, after the killer is gone, would you not cry?

    2. Your examples are retarded, the teddy bear is an actual person, the show is a comedy. Hitler is not a cliche.

  • @Synystergates1011

    1. Deaths are a necessary thing to move plot along, make you feel for the character. It all depends on what kind of show you are watching as well.

You are a retarded fuck who obviously doesn't even know what the word cliche means.

  • This guy must be trolling, no one can be this clueless.

If he's not trolling, forming an actual counter-argument would be pointless seeing how his IQ is ~65.

Do you really emphasize your words like that when you normally talk? Sounds autistic.

  • Also you should actually wikipedia a claymore.

    Y'know.

    The name for a sword.

  • YOU ARE AMAZING.

  • This is really a terrible list.

I mean you could've chosen actual cliches like: transfer student, beach episode etc.

  • haha oh wow, what a fucking cunt

  • Is this real life?

  • Oh wow why the hell you should care about fictional children die in anime?

  • I lol'd so hard I started to spew gallons blood all over the floor.

  • Ok I take that back, should have read your comments here. 10/10, damn you probably were the one to let people know of this video. Nice fucking troll

  • ANIHMAY

  • I don't have the time to look at your videos to find out wether you're a troll or just an ignorant person. So 9/10 and grow up if troll, and try checking your sources and info overall before posting inane shit if ignorant

  • Also FLCL was in 2000 and Halo was in 2001. They're not related in the slightest either.

  • I want you to know I made a youtube account to say that that shit was dumb.

  • Also FLCL Came out a Year before Halo. :V

  • man i hope to god you are trolling, you fucking idiot

  • ...This is hilarious. All entry level stuff.... Pfffhahaha.

  • 3:54....but thats a hentai you retard. And who the hell pronounces anime wrong, and gets hentai right..?

  • I wonder if you ever watched Pokemon as a kid..?

  • ok dude they dnt try to insult anybody the world does not revolve around america, the title dont make sense because it either change when translated or like fooly cooly it not meant to, and how does a tv head look like a helmet that joke was a fail like one of the response videos points out u have that on loop it does stay in that frame for that long the frame changes .and dude im just checking bt u do kno that its meant to be fiction right no one should say its real

  • @piratehunterzolo87

    add to my comment

not all anime is meant for children dude like movies there's an age its meant for like 13 and up or 10 and up or everyone or 17 and up when yo go to an anime site and you click on a title it will most definitely give you the age audience its meant for so what you are doing is just hating on anime which is ok cause everyone has their own opinions bt based on what you r saying you are exaggerating and giving just plain stupid reasons

  • @piratehunterzolo87

also dude your using one of the most confusing anime to make a point dude FOOLY COOLY IS NOT MEANT TO MAKE SENSE i cannot stress this enough look like you were just bore one day with your shitty life and saw that people were having a good time watching anime so you like a douche decided "hey im feeling shitty so y don't i try bad mouthing anime case the thing they're better than us american" bt that is just no so amd this will be my last comment on this shitty video

  • @Saramorix- No he didn't break anything down. All his points were irrelevant and ad hominem.

  • @dalek14mc If you'd like, I could very generously remove all usage of you in my arguments to make them less "ad hominem" so you'd have an attempt at salvaging a successful counter-argument. But if you'd rather I not, so you can continue this flimsy attempt at upsetting a fairly large community, carry on. Again, you'll either prove my point about you likely doing this simply to anger people, or you'll turn this into a legitimate debate in which the facts are utilized.

  • now im an anime lover and im right now like no comment cuz is your opinion watch black lagoon and after i bet your going to change your thought about anime .... it has hand gestures and id does not have big eyes if that is what is bugging you...

  • Goodness help us if all anime was not -made- for viewing by children. But that aside, Japan also has a different view on adulthood, so even being that most anime have teenage protagonists, who are young, if not full adults in Japan, death is expected, if only to create drama and make significant plot points stand out. Most of what you're critisizing is art style and use of story elements to create drama which varies worldwide. 4/10 trolling, made me reply, inb4 tl;dr, etc. I was bored. Your move

  • @Zartemis-I refuse to take people who call me a troll seriously. You anime fans use nothing but ad hominem attacks on people who critisize anime.

  • @dalek14mc personally I think he broke down your video quite well and made some valid points that you simply overlooked because he said the word "troll."

  • @dalek14mc Aha, I see, so you refuse to accept a perfectly valid argument on the basis of an after-comment. See, that doesn't help your case so much as shoot yourself in the foot. If you actually legitimately cared about the issue, you'd counterpoint anyway, and prove me wrong. Thusly, you're legitimizing my argument that you are, in fact, attempting to exacerbate people solely for your own entertainment. And if I used nothing BUT ad hominem, what's the rest of my argument then?

  • @dalek14mc you essentially just said "I will not argue with someone who insults me just because I insulted your tastes."

If you don't agree with this then go look up the definition of critism.

  • @dalek14mc so ignoring the fact that zartemis called you a troll you still have actually no rebuttle to his posts. I mean throughout this whole video you are essentially saying the fanbase is stupid. That is in no wa different and for that reason he can discern you are one.

  • @dalek14mc

That's not an ad hominem. An ad hominem is when you use a characteristic of a person to attempt to refute their point, like for example: "You're stupid and ugly, therefore you're wrong"

Jesus Christ you're retarded <----Not an ad hominem, it's just an insult.

  • Point 9: Now you're just being silly and prodding at semantics in a weak attempt to make a point. American movies have had characters just as odd, have featured nazis as either an enemy or in a historic light, and have had Santa Claus, monsters, and humanized fish as characters. Point 10: You're exaggerating your point badly. Not only could CGI be used to emulate child death, it likely has before. Child death does happen, in the real world and in movies and shows. American shows. (continued)

  • words and conversation are the main focal point. Too much movement on the screen would -distract- from that point in the first place. And yes, there are filler scenes for that, but it's usually for dramatic effect, or to draw focus to the words being said. Point 8: Again, you're not only using an anime with a base in fantasy, but you're acting like trauma from losing someone you care about hasn't ever caused someone to touch, cradle, or even shake a dead body. (continued)

  • Sometimes, blood geysers are used for humor. For drama. Just to make a show of a big wound. But if it was aiming to be realistic, -why would they animate it-? Point 6: Most of what you're getting there is fanservice and humor, again. If kids and human beings lack the ability to discern between animated boobs and enjoying real people of the opposite sex, it's not anime's fault. Point 7: In your example of filler, you're not only using a humor anime, again, but a scene where (continued)

  • Point 3: You've never heard of production values, have you? Admittedly, this is a weak point of anime, but crap costs money, and I've seen improvements on this in some animes, but it's -not a big deal-. Point 4: There are a lot of demons in anime because they're an easily alterable base with root points in local and foreign mythology. Every culture has some iteration of "demons" so it's an easy starting point. Point 5: Anime is not supposed to be entirely realistic. (continued next post)

  • This is some top tier trolling, I will admit, but god help me if I don't point out how wrong you are. Point 1: Most Japanese anime characters, are, in fact, Japanese. Big shocker. 2. Most anime show titles are relevant if you pay attention. Naruto is named after the main character, and also has at least two meanings in Japanese. Full Metal Alchemist is relating to the use of alchemy to manipulate metal, and one of the main characters being a soul trapped in a suit of armor. (continued next post)

  • It was at point 2 that I realised you either weren't taking this seriously or that at least I shouldn't.
