Red Deer to Edmonton in Winter - time lapse

I want to do one in a similar way the next time I go to Red Deer or Calgary, so far I've only done a few local trips, but I still found them interesting! I kept looking for myself in this video because I was on the highway that day!

@canadianentropy It would have depended on the time you went through, I went North from just South of Leduc to Edmonton and back that day in my truck, I think I was hauling a car, but I can't remember...

@DieselSmoke92 True enough! :) My least favorite section for poor winter driving is actually between Bowden and Airdrie.

@canadianentropy Yeah i bet. Highway 2 has always been bad for winter driving. I drove there to the Edmonton International Airport and it was so icy i counted 25 cars in the ditch. Apperently there ended up being 200 per day lol.

Thanks for taking us along on the trip =D What beautiful winter scenery ! I know during the blizzard this highway was treacherous ! Was it shut down for a bit until the blizzard passed ?

@JazzyL8888 Thanks! I don't remember the highway being shut down at all, they were saying to avoid driving if possible. It has to be pretty bad before they completely shut the highway down.

No snowmen this year. :) None of this snow has the right consistancy - it has to be much closer to 0C, but I'll file that idea away for when the time is right. :)
