I'd love to own it. Sure its not the real thing, sure theres flaws but its not that bad at all and all in all, I like it. @bumpjumper99 I know that everyone uses Fieros for kitcars, but this car's proportions and dimensions and the side windows look absolutely identical to a Firebird to me. Plus the doors are HUGE, like a Firebird, and the exact same shape as Firebird doors and glass. The B pillar and teh side windows really look Firebird. Look at 2:30, 2:44, 2:52 and the last shot showing the side view and search for some Firebird photos. This thing is way too big to be a Fiero I think.

for those of you who don't know, they build these cars out of third gen camaros instead of buying a real ferrari because you only have to pay the insurance for a camaro and not a quarter million dollar car. plus the kits are from 4000 to 8000 dollars and you can also build them out of an mr2 to keep it rear engine.

Best way to tell is the roofline, shape of the side windows, and the panel directly behind the side window, they are very distinctly 82-92 Camaro/Firebird. Just check out a side profile of this compared to one. Also the gap around where the rear deck lid, it's shaped like there is supposed to be a window there.
guess what: save the money for that conversion, keep the Trans Am stock and enjoy the american built quality as the common Ferrari drives from garage to garage. lol.
It's hard to pull off a real look of an exotic using a replica kit. You either are going to get the wowzy thumbs up or the dreaded "Nice kit car" from onlookers. Just be prepared for the latter if you own this car. It's not bad, but is what it is.

Years ago, Ferrari execs went and sued everybody in the kit car industry and won ...for copying the bodies of their cars. So, today you'll find cars like these that are close unless you build it yourself from scratch to prevent a lawsuit. Lambo and Shelby have been cool so far if you want a Cobra or a Galardo rep.
WTF - Both Lambo and Shelby are sueing the shit out of people RIGHT NOW! Shelby has recently sued Factory Five (check out their we site), and I bet you can't find two Lambo kit cars still being sold in the US. All the sites that I used to visit now clearly state that they are NOT selling Lambo kits. What you can find (Lambo and Ferrari) are all being made overseas. Ferrari clonse are out there, and NOT at all hard to find - just have to get them through customs, which is dicey.
Headlight pods are the wrong size,the front grill is not correct,the fuel filler is in the wrong place,the door mirrors are wrong,the wheels are too small and too inboard at the rear,the rear overhang is too long,brakes are too small,rear engine cover is hinged incorrectly,windscreen is too upright,interior is wrong,the bonnet badge is wrong,chrome cavallino's on the wings? (drivers side is on backwards!) etc,etc.I have,however seen worse replica's!

for those of you who don't know, they build these cars out of third gen camaros instead of buying a real ferrari because you only have to pay the insurance for a camaro and not a quarter million dollar car. plus the kits are from 4000 to 8000 dollars and you can also build them out of an mr2 to keep it rear engine.

i wonder what a kit like this would cost. but if you adore the testarossa, a fake one does not have wat it takes, it misses the heart (engine).
and the owner of this particular vehicle really treated it bad, even in this low res clip you can see scratches, and the bonnet seems to be a bit higher up as it supposed to be. as if it has been in a accident (maybe spelled wrong, but i'm dutch, so my main language isn't english).

Best way to tell is the roofline, shape of the side windows, and the panel directly behind the side window, they are very distinctly 82-92 Camaro/Firebird. Just check out a side profile of this compared to one. Also the gap around where the rear deck lid, it's shaped like there is supposed to be a window there.

It's hard to pull off a real look of an exotic using a replica kit. You either are going to get the wowzy thumbs up or the dreaded "Nice kit car" from onlookers. Just be prepared for the latter if you own this car. It's not bad, but is what it is.

I remember when you could buy and build a near exact replica kit of a Ferrari. Years ago, Ferrari execs went and sued everybody in the kit car industry and won ...for copying the bodies of their cars. So, today you'll find cars like these that are close unless you build it yourself from scratch to prevent a lawsuit. Lambo and Shelby have been cool so far if you want a Cobra or a Galardo rep.

WTF - Both Lambo and Shelby are sueing the shit out of people RIGHT NOW! Shelby has recently sued Factory Five (check out their we site), and I bet you can't find two Lambo kit cars still being sold in the US. All the sites that I used to visit now clearly state that they are NOT selling Lambo kits. What you can find (Lambo and Ferrari) are all being made overseas. Ferrari clonse are out there, and NOT at all hard to find - just have to get them through customs, which is dicey.

Headlight pods are the wrong size,the front grill is not correct,the fuel filler is in the wrong place,the door mirrors are wrong,the wheels are too small and too inboard at the rear,the rear overhang is too long,brakes are too small,rear engine cover is hinged incorrectly,windscreen is too upright,interior is wrong,the bonnet badge is wrong,chrome cavallino's on the wings? (drivers side is on backwards!) etc,etc.I have,however seen worse replica's!
