May I just say that I think he actually loved Jessica Alba and was falling into a Tony-esque character, where he joked about it and tried to seem like (pardon my French) a complete ass about sleeping with her, so that he could make the point he was over her? Three and a half years is nothing to sneeze at. =/ I felt kind of bad for him, actually. Who dumped whom? I never have found that out, and I suppose it doesn't matter. BUT. ON THE PLUS SIDE. Wonder if she misses him now? ;)

@katsaur She broke up with him, quite possibly of the 15 year age gap. She wanted to go out clubbing and he was a homebody. I don't know if she misses him, maybe after they broke up, but she is married now and has two children one of whom was just recently born.

Michael Weatherly is very talented and didn't get a chance to showcase it on Darkangel but his humor comes off quit well in NCIS. Best moments of the show are Tony DiNozzo moments.

He is. She was barely 19 when the show started, got engaged in the middle of the second season (that's why he said 21 and the hug-thing) and were together for 4 years total. Her parents hated him, he was 33 back then, and as was written back then, they played a big part to the couple splitting up. He slipped into drinking himself into a stupor again, thank God Mark Harmon was there to head-slap him into track (that's not an NCIS script thing, Mark does that to him, for real).

It's true - they thought he was too old for her and they did whatever they could to persuade Jessica to leave him (though I am not sure who left who - mr. Weatherly is very discreet on the matter-as of her she'd only ay that she was too young, didn;t know what she was doing etc - that lasted a little less than 4 years. LOTS of time to be uncertain I'd say).

Actually, I heard it for M. Weatherly himself, he'd be all giddy and playing practical jokes to his co-stars 9especially S. Alexander) so the leading actor slapped him like that. The producers thought it was a very "Gibbs-y " thing and they added it in the script. Actually, Harmon started that when he first met Weatherly, during his bout with alcoholism.

If you watch the Utube episododes with "behind the scenes you will see that the "head slap came from Mark Harmon smacking MW upside the head for hitting on someone while they were shooting a scene. I wouldn't believe most of what you hear on here. Some people want the "status" symbol by saying they "know" a celebrity when they actually don't. Most of those types are full of crap. Research before you believe! :-)
