  • At 0:50 it looks like hes giving her a stroke on the head

  • Look at the guy in the front, it looks like he is having a spasm :P (respect for him)

  • why running like that?

  • 1:02 GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!

  • hi Lso,

I just found that channel of your orchestra and i am realy imprest.

Will you go on a tour to other countries? Is there any way to find out about where will you go?

    Thanks

  • @volglizolic hello, glad you like the channel. Can't post a direct link, but go to our main website lso.co.uk and click on What's On at the top, then Tours in the menu down the left. We tour pretty often. The page is only up til the end of summer at the moment, but keep checking back because it'll be updated for the Autumn soon.

  • @Lso thanks

  • @theotherprawn Yeah that guy is rockin out!

  • This was meant only for the nay-sayers! (Didn't intend to offend the more intelligent comments)!!!

  • THEY GET THE POINT ACROSS, DO THEY NOT!!!??? (Fucking IDIOTS)!

  • Concertino Rock the Party. Concertino Rules. XD

  • THIS is how Beethoven should be played

  • Hold your horses first violin!!!! ( maybe stick ur feet to the ground)

  • haha, otto from the simpsons tought me movements in classical music

  • what does it sound like???

  • you think your english or your plagied PH.D can save your life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • .....concert master looks too proactive (too much feet movement)

  • I think this is the song from Fantasia the original. I think this is the part where they are stomping grapes and then Zeus launches lightning.

  • @nesuada haha yes it is!!!

  • the concertmaster is a bit excited for the party hes going to 2morrow xDDD

  • Concertmaster.... That's an interesting dance.

  • that is one passionate concertmaster

  • i wanna learn the violin any suggestions s to what violin to buy...i want a stradovarian but is too expensive

  • got the whole lso beethoven symphonies box for my bday from my thoughtful sis who realised my obsession with beethoven needs more fuel and she may actually enjoy my dragging her to barbican every so often more than she expected it to be so at first :D

  • Very nice music and great orchestra. The only thing I noticed a bit weird was the concertmaster, I think his movements are a bit exaggerated. As if he needed more attention than the other members.

  • Happy BirthDay Beethoven!

  • Sorry but this is too fast...

  • @NjallPiano Reminds Karajan's conduction, doesn't it?

  • Is this piece not meant to have only 2 horns?

  • Hi LSO you sound wonderful! So very rich and full and moving! I wish I could sound like that or be apart of something this amazing! I miss my violin! =(

  • 1:41 is so wonderful usually, but i dont like this here, sounds powerless

  • i cant stop laughing at the second man from the left of the screen on the front row at 0:40 hes got a taser on him!

  • @yongpack0 ahhah true, he's having seizures! isn't that the first violin?

  • Lovin dis shit

  • at 0:50 it looks like he's reaching out to touch her hair :)

  • Beethoven is a legend. Just listening to his music is heaven every day x

  • What a great orchestra!

  • What a great orchestra!

  • What a great orchestra!

  • I´ve just got an idea for such a PALINDROM pertinent to London Symphonics...

    LSO = O(f) S(uperb) L(evel).

    It holds always without exception.

  • I love this one, it's just wonderful ♥

  • I always think of fantasia when i hear this music . I dont remember if this was actualy in fantasia but its still good :)

  • Marvelous

  • iS HE making fun of the bassoonist? with those three descending triadic notes? Almost as if its a parody...

  • Lol. The first violinist is going off :p but I love how tight, controlled and yet enthusiastic the conductor gets.

The best movement from the whole piece, and one of Beethoven's greatest works :)

  • SordidGuy: hahahaha he may be enthusiastic, but he looks like he's head banging at a hard rock concert...if i was sitting front row in the audience id be terrified about getting smacked in the face with his elbow hahaha(little exageration but you get the point)...i totally agree with Mrtchaikovshyful....but anyway the way the music sounds is all that really matters anyway and they totally nailed it! this is amazing! the third movement is definatly the best!

  • ¡Que energía la del primer violinista!

¡Marca el tiempo hasta con sus pies!

Beethoven le daría la mano al final del concierto.

  • Fantastic joyfulness, energy, and playfulness with a sweet air of enticement!

  • 1:40 is one of my favourite parts. Love it!

  • I have these 9 symphonies on CD and they are wonderful. It's interesting to see it being performed. Have LSO considered releasing these videos on DVD/Blu-ray? I'd love to watch while I listen...

  • Can you pls. give the download link?

  • Hi, you can download the complete symphony on LSO Live from iTunes - can't post the link to the exact page as YouTube doesn't allow it, but if you search you'll find it.

    Best wishes,

    LSO

  • And the 1st chair violinist has some issues i think haha!

  • Hahaha! Oh yeah....

  • Yeh, his name is Gordan Nikolitch or something like that. I remember being at an LSO concert when Sir Colin Davis beckoned the orchestra to stand and he was about the last person to notice it. Why do London orhestral players just look so damn unprofessional?

  • Mrtchaikovskyful: Simply because he's enthusiatic, DOES NOT mean he has "issues". Maybe I should label you a "MORON"!!!!!! That's the impression I received from your asinine comment......

  • Utah Youth Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra is doing Beethoven 6th on Feb 1st 2009 and this is the recording they gave us this is amazing!! some things i like better the way we do it though

  • This is so wonderful Bravio

  • I appreciate the quicker tempo at 1:40. I believe that it's the one Beethoven marked, but many conductors take it slower. It adds so much energy!

  • Never heard it played this fast before...

  • That lead violinist looks like a convulsing idiot. Still, it's the freakin' London Symphony! Amazing sound!

  • สุดยอดจริงๆ

  • Wonderful horn playing at 1:23

  • part of this pieces sounds like copland 100 years earlier.

  • This sounds like great music for a role playing game.

  • i have this in my ipod. i love it.

  • @entyceit i am very happy to hear that you have a f*cking ipod

  • jealous?

  • Hi Lso, this is my first time really listening to this genre of music. It's very interesting and I'm getting really into it. Thanks for uploading this video!

  • ineedmymusic, welcome! Loads more like this, hope you'll stay and look around at our other performances.

    Best wishes from LSO

  • @ineedmymusic Welcome to the world of what "good" actually sounds like and welcome to becoming an adult and leaving the kids music behind.

  • i love this piece!

our school orchestra is playing it for our concert but a gazillion times slower. hahah.

this video inspires me to practice this piece more tho. (:

  • Sounds a little odd. Maybe just a little different from how I've always heard it.

  • Yes, for me it has a strange effect too: Haitink's interpretation is faster than what I ever heard.

    I am used to Karajan.

  • Karajan is actually faster than this.

  • If so, then I am happy with your respectful correction.

    Thank you....

  • karajans sounds more string dominated. i think.

  • Hi, Lso. I want to request from you to PLEASE put up the video of Bernard Haitink conducting the LSO on the Beethoven 9th Symphony! I would love very much to see this masterwork conducted by Maestro Haitink. If this video can be uploaded, would you please put it on? Thank you! And thanks for the Beethoven 6th as well.

  • HI Alexias, I'm afraid we don't have this footage - they were recorded in 2005 before we'd really got going on videoing our performances.

  • Clarinet was a bar late on the second out of the blue entrance after the oboe, lol that is some fast 3/4

  • I think you'll find he wasn't, have you ever looked at the score you idiot?

  • was this the concert when gordan played beethoven triple with tim and lars vogt? and then gordan came back to lead in the symphony... i was there! i think i sat front row as well, staring at haitink's hands all the time!

  • Hi 10clowns, good memory, yes it was that concert. 26 November 2005 to be precise. Gosh, just noticed: exactly three years to the day we posted this clip!
