@scop3d212 I know I'm late here, but I wanted to vocalize some corrections to your statement. Satanism IS a religion. It has dogma, it has ceremony, etc, and is codified as such. The philosophy is part of the religion, but not all of it. Additionally, LaVey proposed not that following God is worshipping one's self by proxy, but that following any God is worshipping the person who created that God by proxy. He proposed that we elevate ourselves to Godhood and cut out the middleman.

@scop3d212 I know I'm late here, but I wanted to vocalize some corrections to your statement. Satanism IS a religion. It has dogma, it has ceremony, etc, and is codified as such. The philosophy is part of the religion, but not all of it. Additionally, LaVey proposed not that following God is worshipping one's self by proxy, but that following any God is worshipping the person who created that God by proxy. He proposed that we elevate ourselves to Godhood and cut out the middleman.
