I just started in VDMX tonight, but taught myself Ableton / Reason / Quartz / MIDI / OSCulator / OSC / TouchOSC / Wii / HiD over the summer.... It's like VDMX is the link I was missing. In 6 hours I had everything jamming... Keep up the good work. Inspiring.
