I was born low functning autistic but what worked with me was sonrise or something like it. I was diagnosed with Asperger's when I was seven and told about it as soon as we left the phycatrist's office but it went over my head and I didn't really understand the signifiance of it until I was about sixteen. I never cared what other people thought of me and being autistic was the same to me as having blue eyes.

you arent autistic becuase you think you are autistic you are autistic if you are diagnosed as autistic. you are however a retard, which does not perscribe just to autism but all forms of mental social and physical disfunction.
Hi Patrick. I learned that I'm autistic on May 1st, at age 34. I always knew that I was different from other people, and that the diagnosis I'd carried for 20 years had been incorrect, but I didn't know the whole story until just recently. Now I'm happier.
