@majinleoking I find the concept of 'faith', a concept that EVERY religious person embodies, to be something that is undeserving of any degree of respect. It's childish, and in my opinion, pathetic to believe in things for which there is NO evidence. Also, I find the absolutist mindset that many religious people embody to be distasteful. Anyone who says that they 'KNOW' there is a god is, again, an idiot in my opinion. NO ONE knows if a god exists, there are simply people who BELIEVE one does.

These men that had the power to fix the woes of the world will die a very slow and uncomfortable death. Now, just like all religions, there are various different sects, denominations, groups, etc, all with varying beliefs. Yes, there are people who worship "the devil" and call themselves Satanists. These are Theistic Satanists. Then there are people who worship Lucifer, either the Biblical angel or the Roman goddess of light, who are called Luciferians. Then there are the Atheistic Satanists, the most prolific being LaVeyan like me.

The best advice I can give for someone who doesn't agree with, is against or just doesn't claim religion, try to learn about them whenever you get a chance. If nothing else it'll give you more ammunition to use against their followers (like an Atheist studying the Bible).

He was an Atheist as are all LaVeyans (along with some Agnostics and Apatheists). Would a man who firmly believed in Satan as an entity write that Satan is only a symbol of man's inherent nature and not a literal being?

@hyuugaamida Devil worshiping is the idea of worshiping the bible's version of Lord Satan. Meaning, that they become "evil men/women" themselves, killing and raping, and the like.
While people believe that this is STILL considered as Satanism, it is not. Satanism is, like you said, but its is also something more. Some follow the LaVeyan way, worshiping yourself, and some, like myself, worship Lord Satan as he should be worshiped. As our true God.
