  • 7 million died in the great depression in the USA.

  • the u.n. is responsible for governments holding back food. It is a satanic regime that is run by eugenicists. In the u.s. they are flooding farmland and doing the same in canada. We use food to control behavior, we do not apologize. Catherine Bertolini U.N. world food program.

  • ethanol is a joke.

  • Go to National Geographic's website. Look in the Archive section for the June 2009 magazine. The article is titled "The End of Plenty"

  • you fail if you get your info from ng. that's entertainment not legitmat info.

  • you mean all those scientists and agriculture experts that national geographic interviewed didn't know what they were talking about? , a magazine that's been around for well over a hundred years, which has donated hundreds of millions to research is just entertainment? ! then please by all means tell me what i should read?

  • the Price of food is not allway's a function of supply and demand economics. at the grainary pricces are created and then the next season the farmer is provided disinsentive (spell) to produce an overabundance. also we pay farmers not to grow food to keep prices artificially high. also another function of high prices is giving away free food to nations too produce their own. however you have not fact checked with providing substance for your arguement. ty. v

  • I DID do my research, I think you can trust National Geographic to provide good research - again, June 2009 issue. Supply is at technologic zenith at this time, so if production methods are not increased in some way then the rapidly growing global population (DEMAND) will outstrip the supply. Read that first, then see what you think!

  • bring me real production numbers and you will see we already have more than abundant production methods. we pay people not to grow food to stabilize prices keeping it profitable. no profit no incentive, no incentive no food.

  • just read a story in the philadelphia inquirer (a very liberal paper if that makes any difference) about a NY dairy farmer shooting 51 cows and then himself, apparently "they" didn't pay him enough to produce or not produce

  • Already, people have forgotten the farm takeovers of the 1980s. The farmers were wiped out. Financial warfare took them out. All that will be grown, controlled, is bio-engineered, kept in silos. Just like Ukraine.

  • what a nut job we ar ethe bread basket for the world there will never be shoratges here ;-)

  • Who would ever have thought that this would be happening in the USA!??? Thank you for telling it as it is.

  • It's a scary fact what this video is saying! We have got to wake up , America, and turn our lives around to God!

  • No! No! Be rational! Think! God isn't real!

  • The food situation just got that much worse with the major floods in the midwest, and heartland of the farming industry. There will definitely be food shortages coming this fall and winter 2008.

  • hmm wrong. The floods didn't reach Kansas, and Oklahoma. Which are two states that grow a lot of food for the nation also.

  • I agree completely. It will make NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER who is elected come November. Whoever it is, they will be powerless to deal with the incredible destructive forces that are coming to bear on this country and the world. And we brought it upon ourselves, through our greed and through our ignorance.

  • How sad but true this really is. Excellent Program!!

  • What an awesome program!
