These bikes are such great looking bikes and that's why I bought one. Too bad they are so poorly built. Yes they ate old British design that was continued in India long after Enfield died in England. The build quality in India is terrible!!! These bikes are junk!!!
These bikes are the biggest piece of junk that I could ever have dreamed of owning!!! Save your time and money!! Don't buy this piece of shit bike!!!!!
the very first time i drove a motorcycle it was bullet..and from tht time,,,m still driving a bullet..no motocycle meets the qualities of bullet..bullet for ever..
Your neighbor got lucky, probably lied and imported it as an old bike. There are a lot more differences than just emissions including... blinkers, mirrors, fenders (finished edges), etc. IF it gets past customs (unlikely), then you have to register it. It will have domestic India frame and engine numbers which will throw up all sorts of red flags in the U.S. registration database. Better to get one through the official U.S. importer for a thousand bucks more or find a used one for a few grand.
It's a nice presentation but I owned a 1995 for 7 yrs 40,000k and if you wanted to ride on wkends you worked on it during the week if you wanted to ride during the week you worked on it on weekends.Cheap yes but you needed tons of spares
I've really enjoyed owning a 2003 Bullet. This review hits the nail on the head. Most of the problems I've had stem from not getting to ride enough. Warts and all, it's a great, fun bike with a unique story.
The hallmarks of the legendary R.E Motorcycle - the feeling , the sense , the aura , the fascination - all above the rest a touch of automotive royalty whose roots lay in vintage british engineering . I don't care if harleys or titans or indians make 1500 cc bikes , none thumps like this simple pushrod OHV mono cyclinder machine.
