  • yup there are people starving in the world and it seems to me that the people that are always complaining about the "starving" people never do anything to help them. Who knows if the couple donates to charities? People are never satisfied. I think the wedding is beautiful and if she wants a beautiful wedding that's her business because SHE is paying for it with HER money, not me or anyone else for that matter.

  • people are such hypocrites, you know all of this money employed people who support themselves and their families with that money

  • @tammypierce61 That is right. This payed the income of wedding planners, hotel workers, care rentals and so much more. Without the business a lot more people would starving.

  • thatz a normal wedding..not 2 expensive nt 2 cheap :)

  • I don't want to be mean, but there was so much glitter that I kind of lost track.

  • nobody like haters people

  • No amount money can buy the happiness, trust, love, and security needed to make a marriage last.

It's all about showing off - must spend more than the neighbours did, must be bigger and better. If it wasn't for the ego weddings would be a lot cheaper.

  • Aside from the appalling waste of money, it does not bode well for the long term if a marriage demands such a high infusion of 'artificial happiness' right from the outset.

  • find some of the items on the show at platinumgoodies com

  • i plan on being wealthy and successful ... i will give money to charities and help out worldwide, but wen i get married i will of corse SPEND LIKE CRAZYYYYYT!!! WOOOOOOT! its ok to spend money on yourself humbly and give back to da worald. ^_________^

  • Their divorce is going to be cheaper

  • so colorful ^_^

  • Well said! People have no idea that their "desire" to do such irrational things are really a true sickness in humanity and culture.

Status quo led ignorance...mental neuroisis supported and brought to you by corporation marketing.

  • The weddings are beautiful, but I must agree with missmangomania. They spend so much money on glitz which we know is ALL for show and tell, they could spend that money helping others; or at least saving for when they start a family.

  • @missmangomania Right on! Totally agree!. It's our tax money that's helping those bitches fuflill their ultimate dream. Where the hell's their share in the recession? None whatsoever.

  • By the way, I'm Indian myself. So, I'm NOT a jealous racist.

  • wow she was really pretty, and i love the doll game, lol so cute, i love watching other cultures do things, so different but beautiful

  • Weddings like this are really amazing to me. I like this episode because you learn more about their culture. Seven dresses...wow so much time to change clothes. But at the same time they're beautiful.

  • This was one of two top Platinum Weddings aired in 2007. BEAUTIFUL!

  • did they pay their taxes ??

  • Interesting question bebetigre12!

Did they pay THEIR taxes? Hmm...I wonder!

I'll always stick up for the middle class and the poor.

  • no class?

i'd have to say that was the most beautiful, classy, cultural... most amazing wedding i have ever seen.

not a detail missed! totally gorgeous.

if only we all had billions..

  • 3 words; BEAUTIFUL FREAKING WEDDING!!!

  • LexyHaifa

I've been to many areas in India. So I wouldn't be bragging about wealth!

It was a colorful wedding and I'm sure for Indian culture top of the line. All cutures produce very expensive weddings. No need to put down any one of them. Its not my taste but it also is not my culture.. They liked it that is all that matters it was thier day.

  • When one works hard to accomplish his or her goals and just so happens to be successful and rich in the process, I believe that same person should be able to enjoy his or her earnings and live as lavishly as he or she would like. It is a good deed of the heart to give back which many wealthy people do. How ever, it is not required.

  • I do agree. If you have the money to pull it off and this is what you've dreamed of, then go for it.

I hope one day my wedding will be beautiful and extravagant. I hope to not spend so much money, but hope it's what me and my fiance can afford.

  • I personally do not find anything wrong with spending your wealth on something as important as your only wedding. Just because someone is rich and can afford an elaborate life style does not mean that he or she is not giving back as well. There are hundreds of well known entertainers and people who are not well known that go over seas and adopt underprivileged and spend months in Africa, Asia, Iraq, and many more just helping out and donating time and money to the proverty in those countries.

  • You guys can you clam down cause I made a comment on someone who said that these people in the video are have no class! I was talking to her and not you guys so chill!

  • my point of view this is not realy good .coz if u spend this money on a poor people that would be good then to use a lot of money just and just for one day

  • what a fabulous wedding. she looks like a queen :D

  • wow they are rich!

  • These people have MONEY!!!!

  • It is a beautiful tribute to Indian culture with American elements.

  • This is a great example of money without class.

  • Your comment shows lack of class.

  • Someone seems to take a knowledgeless stance! They are brahmins which means tht they are 1st! Your just jealous because your bound to have a boring plain white fucking wedding and a cheap venue because your culture lack class and colour! AND the people you invite to your wedding cnt even afford the bride in the videos shoes! So fuck off!

We rule and roll in wealth with all the colours of the rainbow!

  • oppss I meant 1ST CLASS

  • wow grow up

  • LexyHaifa,

I think you are taking this discussion to a whole new level. You're comments are rude and derogatory to say the least.

Never be so proud of material things especially money, power n fame. It doesn't take too long for things to flip arnd.

As for ur comment abt CHEAP ppl being jealous or that ppl cant even afford the brides's shoes, if I were u i'd take my words back.

Will u be able to take ur designer shoes or custom made cars wit you when you die??

Been there done that, dear :)

  • Wedding s of all cultures are a beautiful convergence of two ppls love for each other. Though I agree that this wedding is vibrant and beautiful there is no reason to trash weddings of other cultures because they celebrate different traditions than yours.

  • I wrote the one before in a rush because Im offended by comments from people who live cheap, plain white lives and fail to understand wealth out of jealously and envy

  • I'm going to be blunt because you're comment is indicative as to the type of mindset it should be directed to.

34,000 innocent children starve to death per day, and you think that people don't understand wealth? OH, but you're wrong...they do understand...HOW profoundly shallow some wealthy people can be.

Jealous? Some people know what addiction to "THINGS" is, and what it can do to people. I wouldn't call that "jealousy." I would call it "disgust."

  • WELL SAID blaziermissy!!!

    I agree with you.

Platinum weddings = tax payer funded weddings

  • That's right maynov1,

    like you said,

this is REALLY a great example of money without class

  • wow what a wedding

  • How lovey!!!!

She looks like an Indian Queen!!!!

    I want an Hindu wedding!!!!!
