@shieldsuma Only a couple of days, quite pricey, and just a large house. Great place, 5 star service, spa, all the facilities you would want with a holiday. An experience that you won't forget. If you are prepared to fork out the price, definitely a worthwhile visit. If that's a birthday present, consider yourself lucky :)

All going to Necker Island means is that you were raised with no conscience and would like to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars while people are homeless (see: Haiti).

Enjoy yourself, but never pay for what you can get for free.. Go to Hawaii, and it costs less. :)

We were lucky enough to be the guest of a wealthy friend who knows Sir Richard. He took us and 20 other friends to celebrate his 50th birthday. Luck, basically.

We all flew together commercial through Miami to San Juan to Tortola and then the Necker staff picked us up in Tortola. Some helicoptered from Tortola to Necker rather than crossing via boat. The staff was lovely and basically babied us the whole week. I hope you have a wonderful 50th birthday celebration. Make sure you book Anna for a hot stone massage the second you arrive!

It is great to see people of western world create wealth and buy islands and at the same time want to leave the earth in a pristine condition so that the future generation can live and enjoy the environment as well.How god plays in mysterious ways to protect the 1000's of island if global warming become much more catastrophical and engulf the island below the sea and the lives of these islanders like my birth place.Thanks to RB these people have a chance to live longer if islands are saved.

I have been to the island my self by boat and went to the beach because as many of you may know, you can not stop people from coming to a private island's beach as it is illegal. So I went to the beach and spoke to a guy that worked there all year round and the island costs $40.000 the night and you can fit up to 25 gusts in different houses around the island... so if you look it in a way is not that much per person ($1,500)..

i saw it on MTV Cribs Richard said he purchased the island for three hundred thousand pounds sterling but it was just an islan then with no property on it he built it up litle by little into what it is now and is now worth approx two hundred and fifty million dollars according to cribs anyway

Necker was sold quite cheaply for its worth although Rich spent a lot doing it up.

My mate thinking of buying an island in the Bahamas for tax reasons. Donno about living there though having to take the miniplane everyday. Let's see what life offers:)
