  • Indefensible...that's why he's talking in circles. Did he have any idea what he was getting into!?!

  • What the F is this nonsense? The interviewer is attacking Jennifer Gratz.

  • Can anyone tell me why?: If us Asians can get into college and become over-represented with affirmative action working against us, but just by our own sweat and studying hard day after day, why can't other minorities do the same thing? We came to this country even poorer than the inner city ghettos that he talks about, sleeping 10 to a room just to save on rent, but now we've attained the American Dream. How about: Education? Nuclear Families? Hard work? Respecting the teacher? ...

  • You are absolutely right! It's the same thing I was thinking. Proponents of AA and black AA supporters make all kinds of excuses and expect this kind of handout to continue indefinitely.

  • Because in this country, when mexicans, and blacks like myself do reach high status levels it is publicized as being some outstanding feat. As if mexicans and blacks arent expected to succeed, and if we do the media goes on and on about the first black person to do this or to do that. Whereas asians have somehow gained the stereotype of all being smart. There are many successful blacks and mexicans in the country but the smart stereotype is taken so we get derogatory stereotypes.

  • Wow! I really like what you said. I was angry as hell When the bears went to the Superbowl and everyone was talking about him being the first black coach to make it. Same with Tony Dungy when he won. It wasn't about his abilities as a coach to win the big game, it was all about him being black and "look what he has achieved." It's like the media expects all black people to be failures so when one does something great, they focus on skin color instead of the achievement itself.

    It makes me sick.

  • @accentplaya18 It is a white run society.

    Forget Obama.

This society isn't set up to promote success for Blacks and Hispanics.

Anyone who knows the basic history of this country knows it.

A few crumbs go to blacks and others and they complain.

  • @MultiSmartass1

The Reason why so many blacks are not achieving is due to apathy and no will nor drive, get your life together, nig nog.

  • @chica476 I don't know who nig nog is-my handle is multismartass1.

So, address your comments to that user.

  • @ap9386 Read some Tim Wise

  • @ap9386 No asian slaves in this country and no real asian segregation in this country.

You cannot compare besides a lot of Asians are racist themselves.

When you and others have to race racism on a daily basis in realms like education, employment and housing then get back to me.

  • Ha, Tim Wise gave Jennifer Gratz the business

  • I remember that!

  • Haha for real

  • I agree that people should be treated without regard of race. However, people do not follow that. People can not see past color. They see negative images on tv and think they all blacks or latinos are the same. This is not right. It all goes back to up your up bringing.

  • I agree with Gratz that state-conducted racial discrimination is wrong and should be illegal.

However, she went overboard with the bit about her opponent being "against the women" who've raised recent discrimination law suits against universities. This claim may have been an emotional response on her part.

  • Jennifer Gratz is clearly a product of Affirmative Action.

  • Are you at all familiar with Gratz vs. Bollinger?

  • "Allegedly?" Perhaps you need a little refresher course in American history in regards to race in America.

  • Thank You Jennifer for bringing Michigan into the 21st Century and helping end these socially racist preferential programs. Social racism is the belief that one race is socially/economically superior (white privilige...not inherently superior but by circumstances allegedly) and another is socially/economically inferior in standing (black disadvantaged). They reject individualism and need to use groupings in order to justify these outrageous policies.
