I love how he, to a certain degree, invalidates his own theory that he won a nobel prize for. Not completely, of course, but to a certain degree, he does undermine it by stating that the classical trade theory is more relevant today than when he wrote his paper.
@FoxPMcCloud haha so true!! i thought the same thing.. But The Nobel Prize, in my opinion was just recognising him for the importance of his work for realising a discrepancy in the classical theory for the period in which he was working in, even though it might not be so relevant today, if you get me.
Well i found Krugman to be intellectual although this clip tells me very less about the international trade except for the fact that China came up twice in these 3minutes talk. all was obvious and it was a girl who brought up the idea of carpets. am being honest.
He was just about to tell us his conclusion regarding new trade theory when the interviewer interrupted and he went off on his own tack about China. The interviewer seemed to prefer the sound of his own voice.
I love his face at the 9th second or so. So impressed with himself. lol.
