I loved spamming his laser beams. Dodging them was fun too when you was against. I remember Liang had a special stance where you hold < and square and he fans himself. Much like a taunt.
He will be damaged as normal. The only way Zhuge Liang will do the counter move if you press Square (upward slash) or Triangle (Thrust, causing the victim to fall over) right before they attack. It can be risky but the damage those attacks do are great.
@redrosefriendy I see. So a good way to use it would be to probably shoot the leg beam first, then use the torso beam, and that would cause the opponent to jump, and very likely get hit with the torso-height beam.
@XFalconZero Yes, but if the leg-height beam connects they will go down quite fast. The trick is to use Zhuge Liang's taunt (< if Liang is on the left side) and press square to make your opponent fly in the air. Then get some distance and then use the torso-height beam. It will most likely connect as they recover from the fall.
@redrosefriendy Oh. Thanks for the advice. Hopefully I get Dynasty Warriors 1 soon, 'cause I really wanna try those strategies, and it seems that Zhuge Liang is more about predicting your opponent's movements and using strategies to counter those movements in order to defeat them.
@XFalconZero Yeah, Zhuge Liang deals week damage through normal attacks, but his magic is really strong. There's a move that makes him teleport behind his opponent, but I have no idea how to pull it off. Oh, his grapple is the best. Throws his fan up in the air, the fighter is like "Wtf is he doing?" and stares at the fan and then Liang just pushes him of his feet.
@redrosefriendy Most magic people deal weak melee damage, but then the magic is BEASTY, so that wouldn't really come as a surprise to me that Zhuge Liang would be like that. That throw must be pretty funny! Lol.
@redrosefriendy OMG last time I played the challenge mode (where you kill enemies in 10 minutes, called "Boufu" in Japanese) I was building up on Renbu, and when I got up halfway up on 3, I got zapped by Zhuge Liang and it zappity zap right back down to the bottom gauge of 1 in less than half a second, and I was like WTF?! and laughing like shit!
Teleporting behind the enemy? I hope you're talking about DW6. I'm talking about DW6 by the way XD Sorry if this was not what you were mentioning.
@redrosefriendy Lol, beasty, beastLY, same difference XD. But yeah, most magic people, as I said, normal attacks SUCK, but magic attacks kick yer butt clear to Kingdom Come! XD
@qumaneb4 The game Dynasty Warriors on the original PlayStation. This was a fighting game, while all of the sequels was big 3-D beat-em-up kind of games.
It's kinda weird that when I play DW1 on PS1 now, the sound jumps so bad it crashes. But when I play on Zhuge Liang's stage with this music, it plays perfectly without the sound jumping.
Is this Dynasty Warrior or am i back at church?

This song is even similar to Sonic 1's Star Light Zone stage. Sounds sweet!

Ya know, now that I think about it, it does sound like Star Light Zone. And I love that theme. ^_^

Yes it does. N dis should be the remix of this theme of Star Light Zone

Kind of a tragic theme when you think of it, since Zhuge Liang died at Wu Zhang Plains. Suits him perfectly, though.

I find this happy at around 1:14. But yes it does suits him perfectly.

@redrosefriendy What would happen if Zhuge Liang was attacked while in that stance? Did he counter or just get hurt, or what?

@redrosefriendy Oh. And how do you do his laser attack? I really wanna spam it when I get the game! XD
XFalconZero 2 years ago
@XFalconZero Left, Left + Down, Down, Right + Down, Right and then Triangle. Reverse it for the other attack.
1st: Torso height. High damage, but slower to perform.
2nd: Leg height: Low damage, faster to perform but very easy to dodge.

@spiritfired I was talking entirely about DW1, the very first Dynasty Warriors game.
However, Zhuge Liang is beastly on DW6. I'm glad Renbu is being disposed of for DW7.

@redrosefriendy Beastly? Lol in what sense? Cool, no renbu. Then again it was fun having it in one game. But that's enough! XD
