@ke4cpc I rarely give treats when the horses are in pasture, they just like my company, we spend 10 hours a day together when we are working, when they are in pasture I'm at work with another horse, so they don't see me for days at a time.
When at work, they each eat 3-4 pounds of carrots in treats a day

i know this is old footage-but wire fence isnt very safe....it would be best if you had safer fencing to really show up the doubters....i saw a horse run right through a wire fence (in broad daylight no less) and received several deep wounds (one down to the bone), lost 1/;3 his blood volume and almost died. when i have had my horse on farms with wire fencing she had hurt herself much more than places with safer fence.
Some uninformed individuals just jump on the next band wagon that comes along. What I see here is a herd of contented, well adjusted, and extremely well cared for horses. Do those nut jobs think you would mistreat, or abuse, an animal thats very important to your way of life? You hit the nail on the head when you call them PETARDS,and liars. They have to really look at themselves when they just believe anything without researching. Peta kills and mistreats more than it "saves".
I own a Percheron grade that had a number branded in his hoof that the Amish seller said was from NYC carriage trade. NEVER have I had a better harness horse. I don't know why they got rid of him but my absolute gain. He does everything from logging to giving 3 or 4 tots rides. He certainly shows no sigh of ever been ill used, and he is so traffic safe.

I think we need animal welfare, just without groups that have agendas. Having a dog on a chain is abuse, but keeping one in a crate where the size only needs to be big enough for it to turn around is alright. You make a animal work, you're abusing it. Cattle who get three square meals a day, vet care, and whatever are abused. I guess the starving AID ridden people in Africa and even America don't count.
Horses look healthy and content, a lot better than a lot I've seen.
I love to see these horses at leisure as well as at work! The PETArds & other animal 'rights' activists just need something to gripe about! These horses are happy and healthy. They generally love their jobs and provide much entertainment as well as history to tourists! My horse wishes he had it that great! He's largely a pasture ornament and craves more attention!
These horses are healthy and curious. They are coming TOWARDS people...which is a sign they have been treated well or they would be running in the opposite direction! The whole point of PETA and HSUS is to ELIMINATE all human/animal contact...to eliminate pets, farm animals, service animals, etc. These people are into DEATH and HATE and yes, fascism...control of others. They are not satisfied to take care of their own business, but they want to get into everyone else's business re animals.

I have compassion too, but I also educate myself before I take up a cause, something I can't always say for ARs. I do not live in NYC nor had even heard of PETA speaking out against it, but I do know horses. These horses look happy, healthy, and curious. PETA has the capability of doing good things for animals, but it seems they just usually want to start up fires where there is not one. I hope PETA can learn from the little boy who cried wolf story before people stop listening.

If you look at hte vids you can see the same horses in the city and at the farm in all seasons.
What propaganda, these people are de-bunking the lies the PETArds are spreading about them. Wake up and see the horses in the vids, the stables, the regs, the farrier, and then compare it to the crap they spew.

Through the hoof numbers, for Gods sake. and the FACT that this is my farm, I own it, have the records of such. What do you think I rented a farm, took the same horses from my city videos there for an hour to take these videos? OMG This is anti-propaganda.Now, go back to reading your propaganda. OMG LMAO!!!!!!
