I do agree with bluejetty also, however i just voted Green today. Minus the Co2 issue, Green Party are the civil liberaties party, they get most issues right. Less Nato involvement also, less goverenment in our lives.... lets take it back to classical liberalism and libertarianism.

@doomsword86 No it isn't. We don't have instruments to measure earths 'average' tempurature. It is guessed upon by scientists based on numberous data points, and legitamite scientists have huge disagreements on this 'guess'. By the way, you didn't provide me with any 'data' to look at .

The Green Party speaks rhetoric without science or economic proof of stability. You can't cut taxes and increase social/environmental spending. It doesn't make mathematical sense unless the party plans on increasing the national debt.

@bluejetty01 CO2 is pollution. we do exhale it, as waste. yes nitrous oxide is bad as well but CO2 definitely is harmful to the environment and needs to be reduced whether or not we exhale it. earth wasn't made for humans. humans were just evolved on earth and happened to use CO2 as a waste product in cellular respiration but when the first animals to use cellular respiration evolved, they weren't expecting hummers and other vehicles to exist.

CO2 = Carbon Dioxide C = Carbon O2 = Oxegen. NOT POLLUTION - ask someone who works in a greenhouse how they use CO2 and for it increases plant growth which leads to more food and more building materials.

Human actions do however release alot of pollution into the environment - Benzine, Arsnic, Asbestos, Sodium Flouride, metal particles from manufacturing, nuclear radiation, and many more... but the politicians focus of CO2, something that you exhale.... hmmm you ever exhale benzine?

@123philhenderson When I was born, the life expectancy was 65 years old, before me in the early 1900's it was 50 years old. We now live on average to about 84 years old, of course we have more cancer, heart problems etc., we are getting very old, that is why. Canada contributes 1/4 of 1% of the total greenhouse gases caused by man, even if we stopped everything, it would change nothing and we would all starve in the dark because there would be no work for us to do. The green movement is nuts.

Firstly, regarding cancer, the statistic runs that one in two men will be diagnosed, and one in three women. My bestfriend died last year because of cancer, two more students in my school of only 1200 have been diagnosed, my neighbour (only 45) has brain cancer, the man living down the road (mid 30's) has lung, heart, liver, and skin cancer. So don't you dare tell me that cancer is not an epidemic, and that it only affects the old. Secondly, Canada is second only to Australia among developed

And as for it stopping "nothing", it would change what is in our power to change, and from there we would have the moral authority needed to speak to rest of the world. As for no jobs? When did sustainability mean no jobs? Yes certain industries will suffer, but new ones will emerge. No one said this would be easy.

@123philhenderson I grew up without indoor plumbing and we had a wood stove in the kitchen to heat the whole house. At 7 years old my job was to chop the kindeling for the stove. At 10 I had to haul the water from the well to the house.

I had to walk 5 miles up hill both directions to go to school and when I got home I had all my chores to do before I could do my homework and have supper.

I have worked since I was 12 years old and I contributed to my country in the military. cont.

@123philhenderson OK lets take trees, we plant trees and grow them for market, the same as corn, wheat etc. Of you have ever traveled across this country, you would know that one thing we have a lot of are trees. Water, Canada was 1/4 of the world's fresh water supply, we hardly have to conserve it, when we use it , we recycle it back to nature.

Get on the bank wagon to stop cities from dumpin raw sewage i.e. victoria has a 6 foot pipe that dumps raw sewage 13 miles out into the pacific.

Save your energy and stop polution instead. Victoria dumps saw sewage into the pacific, stop that. All our major cities dujmp sewage into the rivers and lakes, that is the real problem. CO2 in not a problem, we could take a lot more before it would bother us. We are at 385PPM and during the jurasic period it was over 4,000PPM, that is why the plants grew so big and strong.

Firstly, your spelling is horrible. Secondly, if you knew anything about Elizabeth May and the Green Party, you would know that preventing pollution of ALL forms is central to Green Party policy. And finally, our air pollution is obviously of HUGE concern! Why do you think that respiratory diseases are spiking everywhere? That millions of Canada's can't effectively breath our air, myself included.
