... I was wondering when I'd see someone bite on Yukito Kishiro's Rakete Hammer. from Battle Angel Alita. Took 18 years, but they finally did it with Prime's Energon Axe. Feh. G1 Forever.
I think what makes a good series is not to have a complicated plot, dont suddenly change the course of the story (in other words, dont change the story line in another season) and have good characters
For all those who think Animated is too kiddie, you're forgetting that so was the original cartoon and every other Transformers cartoon after. In fact, the purpose of the original cartoon was really just a show to go along with the toys. Even the creators had no idea how popular it would be. They only found out, albeit the hard way, when they got the backlash from killing off Optimus Prime in the 1986 movie.
@reyonXIII the 1986 movie had some maturity to "some" and generation 3 & 4 had a few mature storylines, which was cool.. this had nothing!!!! except for a very coool theme song and okaish story
"Thrill of the Hunt" not mature enough for you? Lockdown removes and collects body parts, Ratchet has shell shock from the war, and in the conclusion, he pulls parts off Lockdown while he screams.
The series itself had an ongoing storyline about traitors, characters who were wrongly convicted, assassination attempts, several deaths including one quite brutally, mysteries and cover-ups, retribution, and characters trying to come to grips with their pasts and the grievous mistakes they'd made.
@AeonMagnus The animation has the same feel as Samurai jack and Teen Titans. Nothing similar to Armada. As Justice league and Titans, the story is the main attraction of the show. Because it lends itself to be more comical, it can play on more serious and darker themes. This show is actually very dark, especially season 3. Magnus and Megatron are capable of doing anything, so they are not that different. Well written story. Oh yeah, it might look kiddie, but is not a kid's show. As good as BW.
@AeonMagnus Something else, Maybe is just me, but the way that the characters have flashbacks in Transformers Animated reminds me of the way that Bruce Wayne had flashbacks in Batman Begins

This sloppy garbage is a slap in the face and a disgrace to the 1984 Sunbow Masterpiece. Awful. How Justice League crazy preportions style ruined things. Max Fleischer Superman was supposedly their inspiration. Those cartoons were realistic and didn't have big heads and small bodies.
This masterpeice of which you speak of was riddled in continuity and animation errors, this maintains a good quality of animation and few continuity errors. In addition to that, the lead character designer is a fan of Transformers himself.

o.k. you make a point. But the a whole character design is enough of a reason to stay away from the show. There suppose to look like robots. Not like Japaneses ragdolls with small heads. By the way why is it call Transformer Animated. The Transformer have already been Animated. Like 20 years ago.
The series is called Animated because the toys themselves have a cartoon-esque look to them. Many people believed it would be impossible for them to produce show-accurate toys because of this aesthetic.
How is it a disgrace? This show gives refrences, homage, and tribute to all things transformers including G1. And FYI G1 wasn't really a "Masterpiece" like you think it is. It was full of errors beyond your average 80s cartoon show, the writing was repetitive and sometimes just awful, and there was no character development. At least with this show you have good quality animation and a continuing story line.
that was actually on the transformers animated optimus prime vs megatron dvd pack: the battle begins dvd which i have the two figures and the dvd itself.
The lack of Decepticons is deliberate - if they got their butts kicked on a weekly basis, they wouldn't seem as threatening. TFA Decepticons are supposed to represent a major threat, and be utterly unstoppable in a one on one fight with an Autobot. Look at the first episode - five Autobots against Starscream, and they barely survived (without the Allspark's help, they'd have been toast, and it would have been a short series :P)
I like the new rhyming couplet. It's a shame they didn't use it in the actual show.

Wage (as a verb).
AeonMagnus 2 years ago
When I was kid, I couldn't remember if they were saying "wage" or "race". Both seemed appropriate.
(I also think "justice" sounds like "circuits" with poor sound quality. I'm just sayin'...)
Quintesson05 2 years ago 4
The word is wage not rage.

@WhiteDragonDude24 It's actually WAGE their battle to destroy the, yada yada yada. Long story short, it's wage not rage.

I think you and I know the true purpose of the 1986 movie. It was to kill off the 84 and 85 toy lines.

You don't have to like it, but the overblown hyperbole regarding the 1984 cartoon is unnecessary.

Transformers Animated is not a continuation of the live-action Movie. From the pilot onwards, everything plays out far different than the Movie.
