i think if you uninstall and then reinstall it again, it should work.

to play sims 3 on high setrtings with no lag Well dont buy an License OS to save money just focust on 3 MAJOR Hardware on your computer RAM,GRAPHIC CARD,PROCESSOR 3gig ram will be recomend and a DDR3 Graphics will be enough and a good processor on intel Just look for 4 mb cache and for AMD just look for 7 mb cache There are so many mid-range Product out there and to sae dont buy on retail store just go on the business social network sites in your place

My sims game worked for a long time then I just go try to install sims 3 world adventures I install it and everything then I go to play it and it won't let me cause it says my sims 3 game needed to b updated so I go to update it and there is nothing to update and I won't let me play then later it completely crashed my comp it just goes to the home screen and restarts it stinks T.T I want my game back

i have a realy similar problam.

a lot of time when i play the game it crashes but not only my game, my pc shut down aswell

it was so annoying and just before i was about to kill my computer with a basball bat i just took 4 camera boxes puted them under my pc turning my pc into a small table to enable the air to flow under my pc to cool it and it worked fine it seems that the sims3 is a big program and the pc will get hot when playing if anyone have this problam do what i did maybe it will work

2 You are running a graphics card right atleast a agp or pciE card like a nvidia 8800?

just curious on your setup alot of ppl try running graphic intensive game on machines that cant render everything and also bogs down pc.. or goto msconfig window from run screen and shut down useless programs running in background

About the Z's, there's a way to remove them, but I wouldn't suggest it unless you are good with manipulating files in the game folder.

Try uninstalling things. it might not meet the computer requirements. It happend with my main laptop, so I had to install it to my other one since it was hardly filled with memory. It only needs about 6.1 GB of harddrive and with xp it needs 1GB ram. you might know that but Whatevs - just look on the system requirements on the back of The Sims 3 case

if you have the sims 2 still on your computer with the sims 3 also on there it will slow the game to a stand still so you should remove the sims 2. also i was just wondering why does your task bar show during gameplay? and how much RAM do you have? also IN YOUR FACE lmao x

well why dont you get either an upgrade or a new computer, i got an upgrade and my computer runs like a dream! also it can be because of graphics cards, i thought i had the right one but turns out the graphics card thats named on the back of the box of the sims is the bare minimum you need to run so it will run but barely...hence crashing... also the same with memmory thats the bare min it reqires, the the sim 3 tec suggests you have more than just bare minimum, you guys should read more!
