first time i watched bridge to terabithia was in 2008, since then i've watched it 92 times. That's my favorite movie, it brings so many bad and good memories. I'll always cry listening to this song, even though i prefer Zooeys version. I hope she records the hole song someday.

@nilradem - Bridge to Teribithia was actually a decent film and I am 38yo. I wouldn't call it a teeny bopper movie, unless you are referring to another movie that this song was used for.

Sorry, I haven't seen it so I shouldn't be disparaging. I do know that it comes from a good children's book. There have been a lot of young people making negative comments on Steve's original, though, so I do think a lot of teens look for it. That probably explains the "suggested" videos on the right including pop stars like Minaj and Cyrus. (Though I don't see them now, I see some others.) I listen to a lot of Earle videos, and those types of artists don't usually appear.

@nilradem - I would recommend the movie. When it came out it was advertised as a Chronicles of Narnia type fantasy movie, but it really wasn't anything like that. It is a coming of age movie that doesn't talk down to kids and the fact that the kids sing a Steve Earle song in class is consistent with that idea. I would not be surprised if Zooey D had a part in choosing that song for the movie.
