I saw them live a few years back and Ripper sang the old priest songs no problwem at all. He would hit them high notes and just have this look on his face like.. "That wasn't $hit".. I was totall impressed, and that takes alot. Being a singer myself I hate just about anyone else LOL.. Seriously though, Ripper Owens is pretty damn good. Better then Halford?? Mybe, maybe not. He hasn't really had the band or ground breaking sound Rob had.

nah, you should listen to the rest of the album, its shit. except for bullet train, that one was okay.

try looking up their other stuff, like Diamonds and Rust (really early priest, try early 70's), Hell Bent for leather, Electric Eye, Painkiller, and Angel of Retribution. Compare.

I disagree this album was wicked and it was the kick in the pants JP needed. Tim is a phenominal singer. He gets slammed for not being Rob or Matt but honestly can sing just aswell as both of them. The funny thing is you will never hear rob attempt the ripper stuff. If he did he couldnt pull it off these days. Matt sounds horrible attempting the ripper IE stuff. But yeah you know ripper is such a bad singer lol. The dude slays and is better live
