  • How much did this candle retail for just out of curiosity?

  • What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about doing this?

  • @metademetra If you're in the area of the Texas Renassance Festival, stop by their booth during fair. Beyond that, I'm just a huge fan of these guys, they're friendly and fun!!

  • Please somebody help me, I tried to make candles but by the time I carve the wax cracks and breaks, has a secret or is it something other than paraffin, is please help me - I am with the online translator because they do not speak English. Invested a lot and I can not lose thanks

  • Where can you get one in Southern California?

  • if you listen carefully at 7:59 you can hear the girls phone number lol Love the candles tho.

  • this candle is so beautiful.....

  • I have been in that exact store it was awesome to see them make the candel in was at the renaissance fair in SanAntonio in was very worth it to bad i didnt get anything cuz that would have been a blast to light :]

  • do u kno if they have an online store that ships?

  • People are fascinated with this. The least the woman could do is smile, show she's actually enjoying adding beauty to the world. What a miserable lump!

  • @phoenixwithin I will have to give her some credit. I think I took this on a Sunday morning. Saturdays are usually hell-a busy. I don't think she was really awake yet...I'm fairly sure I wasn't. LOL

  • @phoenixwithin She only has so much time to carve the candle, its takes skill and precision to cut the wax at the same height and depth all around for each row. Of course I think if I was stuck with that lady in the background with the annoying voice who cackled through out the vid, I might not want to smile either. I almost muted her lol. I have to give credit to anyone who could listen to that for more than ten minutes and still manage to carve a work of art.

  • @phoenixwithin why smile if your heart does not feel like smiling? Guess what not everyone is a big bullshitter like you and put a fake smile on to impress and make people happy.

  • @phoenixwithin its called concentration, she has only a few minutes to carve this thing, 6 minutes i think they said? when you are concentrating, you dont smile, you frown, adn smile when you are done :)

  • do u need to go to candle college for this? ima do this

  • Perhaps I'm wrong but I notice that the drippings you cut off aren't put to any use. I know some candle carvers use the drippings to make a mushroom candle before they start carving the rest of it.

Beautiful piece of work, by the way! :)

  • @M4rple She did, I just didn't record it....or one of her assistants did. I don't remember for sure, I've sleeped once since I made this movie. ;)

  • haii...awsom work..!! i would really love to learn this..!!!

  • Amazing she makes it all look so easy .. truely amazing loved watching her and gone on to show it to all my family the agree she is excellent in her work x

  • oh my goodness this is so pretty! i would love to try this...i am also gonna call this my birthday candle cuz it was on 11 28 2009, my nineteenth birthday! lol thank you for an awesome video...you are very talented

  • @teamohugomora You're most welcome. Sadly I can only take credit for recording the video, the real tallent belongs to the carvers of The Legendary Candle Co.

  • Looks like a huge chunk of hand crafted chocolate o_o

  • @DIMATIF O.O I didn't notice that til now....but yeah it does... Would not suggest eating it though. LOL

  • @DIMATIF - Now I wonder if someone could do that with chocolate?

  • @DIMATIF Chocolate Sundae Candle!! :):)

  • one of the most difficult candle carvings i've seen.

  • i tried to make it but my wax is not flexible its breaking what shal i do now

  • @maryamubarak It was too cool. You have to warm it a bit...

  • @maryamubarak when these candles are made, they have literally just been melted wax. Search "how its made decorative candles" on youtube, that video shows the wax dipping.

  • @maryamubarak Christenannamarie is right. The full video for making one of these candles is 30mins long, the first 15 - 20 mins is all dip in hot wax, dip in water, dip in hot wax, dip in water.....repeat til ready to carve. You then have aprox. 10 mins to do all your carving befor the wax is to cool to work.

For anyone who doesn't know, the room temp water dip is to set the wax so that the next layer will set on the previous layer. Good luck on your candle making! :)

  • i wonder if it's possible to practice doing things like that using sculpey... that way you can make whatever you want and it will be very strong, and will last forever (after baking) and there's less skill involved, so the average joe could probably do it

  • look in the background at 5:40.

  • why didnt she cut off the drippings for the mushroom candle

  • @s165455 7:08, she starts cutting off the bottom. I don't remember if she did make a mushroom out of that one or not. I didn't record it if she did....and I've sleeped once or twice since I recorded the video. ^ ^

  • I would love to try to do that. That looks so cool!

  • cool
