  • I love Charlie's presenter/expert intro spiel, he absolutely nails it. The inflection, the language, perfect.

    "I'm going on a journey:..."

  • I want a Lazer Cow!

  • "Then he marches like a terminator looking for a toilet!"

  • "Hello. Did you jerk your cock this morning? I forgot, so I'm doing it now."

  • People know nothing. Compare the awesome erudition of a Christopher Hitchens with any TV "professional" (or for that matter, anyone). No one reads anymore.

  • @disamjisa But I'm reading this right now........

  • @195ashes Let me rephrase that; very few people have the breadth of literary knowledge of even the average middle class person from a few decades ago.

Reading a comment thread is not the same as reading Kipling or Kafka

  • @disamjisa Yeah I know I'm just pulling your leg.

  • Barry Shitpeas at 14:18

  • Love the bit when the man gets hit with the club, toooo funny

  • "Don't patronize me, I'm not stupid; although I am 39 and bickering with He-Man." :D

  • Why does it look and sound like someone is shoving something up Wo-Gan's bum when he's talking?

  • @Tonio31 Because it's based on Terry Wogan. Xp

  • charlie brooker you are one handsome man.

  • Ah, so "Ghost Watch" is where Slenderman got his start. Doesn't quite have the polish of his later work, but he still had all the basics down.

  • 03:37 Baldrick's mum

  • think the music at the beginning is a different version of this .... /watch?v=hjvspeLgeww

  • WORDY!!

  • I have still got my packaged wo - gan action figures, they must be worth a few quid now ?

  • WO-GAN!

I remember that so well! It was such a cool show. Why don't they bring it back?

  • WO-GAN is the most fucking surreal cartoon i've ever seen!!

  • You can tell this brilliant man used to write with the also so ever brilliant Chris Morris and Armando Iannucci. Their shows all shared that same agenda with metaphoric satirical wit.

These three men make me feel fucking brilliant for being fucking intelligent.

  • @YTCENS0R youre just pretentious

  • @YTCENS0R Charlie brooker would call you a dimwit Im guessing

  • As much as I hate how some bits are taken and re-written from Screenwipe and Newswipe, I love this damn show!

It has something very artistic to it because it's just so damn well made! I usually hate artsy stuff but Charlie takes it to a comfortable level by making dick jokes, so I guess that's why it's suitable for me.

  • if people are that stupid they deserve to be fooled

  • "Draw something that scares you.

Alright....What does a vagina look like?"

    epic

  • I love the use of music. As well as those mentioned, 6:20 - 9:40 is opening, incidental and ending music from 70s children's programme, 'Mary, Mungo & Midge', while from 9:40 onwards is an orchestral version of Dead Kennedys, Holiday in Cambodia.

    Awesome!

  • Look near the door at 14:35 they put a ghost in there for a joke.

  • @duckingforcover09 oh yeah well spotted lol

  • The music at 1.05 sounds like a kiddy xylophone version of part of the John Murphy 'surface of the sun' theme from the movie Sunshine, to me at least.

  • @poopyloafer or carly commando - everyday

  • 8:15 You're doing it wrong, Brooker.

  • Classic orchestration of 'Down the Tube Station at Midnight'? Sweet!

  • Was that old documentary about the spaghetti harvest for real? seriously, what was going through their minds. And the actors, picking strands of spaghetti off trees for a documantary made to decieve people. Couldn't they have just showed the truth of someone making the dough and then shredding it???

  • What he said about the television being wheeled into class is absolutely true, every child acts as if they'd never watched tv before, it was similar to being allowed on the computers, we'd just go balistic and then we'd go home and they'd be a tele and computer staring at us in the face...wierd.

  • whats the music from 1:05?

  • @tomgoldswain2

if you find out i really wanna know

  • @tomgoldswain2

if you find out i really wanna know

  • the first 3 minutes of thiss is some of the greatest television i've ever watched

  • that cartoon allstars drug special scared the crap out of me as a kid.

  • 6:57 Is that Michael Palin in a time warp?

  • The music at 04:21 is? I must know!

  • 9:12 - that's a MAN, baby! a MAN!

  • 4:34 - to be fair, it was only a ginger...

  • Does anyone know the song at 1:06? It's really bugging me!! Thanks for the upload!

  • @adfaadfa89

I know, I've probably spent the last 20 minutes trying to work it out! The bit around the 2 minute mark is really familiar....

  • @adfaadfa89 It sounds like a weird xylophone version of New Born by Muse.

  • @adfaadfa89 It sounds like a Xylophone cover of Everyday by Carly Comando

    /watch?v=RCObXuAwCIA

  • Laser Cow.. FTW!

  • 14:28 FUCKING Mr. Pipes get out of here !!

  • Ok when that guy mentioned jayce and the wheeled warriors (which was aired on channel 4 at the time) actually made me smile and laugh.

Ok in honesty i hate april fools day news reports, not because they catch me off guard its because i have my guard so high up that when i hear the news of a gunman attack taking place im most likely not going to believe it. so TV ruined my life simply by lying to me and straining the line between reality and fiction

  • Hahahaha this one is amazing

  • Brightly coloured bibble.
