I liked the vid, I wish that the church I go to (Resurection Life) would do something like this, but atleast the massive intake of money from donations they get from the main building, what is the size of a major shopping mall, goes towards helping people. They send out many missionaries and hold many large food drives.

I always wanted to choreograph a lightsaber fan film, but was never able to get a team organized enough to do. I have the swordplay skills, but no team. Oh well.

The biggest problem was our budget for props and costumes. We didn't have the money for decent costumes and lightsabers. And over time things just fell apart before I could finish the prep work.
Although the pointlessness of a lightsaber staff is clearly showcased, (and that's just me being a Star Wars snob) the rest of this video is fantastic excellent editing, the effects were flawless, the choreography was surprisingly amazing... all around good video. Great job.
My youth group is shooting a lightsaber duel inside our church, and this has been such an inspiration. Thank you for showing Star Wars and God CAN mix—very well, too, I might add.

Wow, come to watch what is an awesome fan vid, just to have it tainted by an age old debate of religion. You know, religious debates have been happening for thousands of years but why hasn't it stopped? Maybe because those who believe in said religions can't prove that there is a "God" or "Gods" or "The Force". And those who don't believe can't prove there is not. For those who don't think a pastor would know anything about swordplay, you would probably be delightfully surprised. I know that at Johnson Bible College, where I went, there were a number of both Star Wars geeks and martial artists, and sometimes they would blend. While I agree that some of the way it was presented is by no means canon to Star Wars, it still has the Biblical message and lets face it, the dual was awesome!
Pretty darn good. I just wish that they would've left out the starting crap and just kept it star wars. I also think that they had great potential, and should've aimed much farther than the short 1 minutes of the actual duel. Excellent incorporations of the dual sliding saber!
you obviously completely missed the point. Religion is contradictory of star wars, whereas fanfilms are fan made films based on the concepts of star wars, whether within the universe or not. In no way does RvD contradict with star wars.

Wow, come to watch what is an awesome fan vid, just to have it tainted by an age old debate of religion. You know, religious debates have been happening for thousands of years but why hasn't it stopped? Maybe because those who believe in said religions can't prove that there is a "God" or "Gods" or "The Force". And those who don't believe can't prove there is not. Simply put, you waste your lives debating, instead of holding your believes to better yourselves to how you see fit.

@jlbkarate Sorry brother, but I need to set the record straight; The bible explicitly highlights the fallibility of man and that not all of us will be saved and that not all of us will ever conform to the perfection of God. Therefore according to the word the Utopian bible oriented society is an impossibility.

OK: if you DON'T believe in God, then just watch this video and enjoy the action.
if you DO believe in God, then enjoy the action, and believe in the scripture passages and quotes in this video, all are true.
now, I am not here to argue with anyone, but for my christian friends: psalm chapter 14 is a good chapter for reading on subjects similar to the ones displayed here...

@jCkD4Ni3L The refusal to believe in a 'higher power' is a sign of nothing more or less than pure egotism. Anyone who refuses to believe that God (any God) could exist does so because they do not wish to admit there could be anything in the universe greater than they are. They refuse to believe that the science of man is anything less than infallible. To say "If I can't see God, he doesn't exist" is no more foolish than saying "I can't see Protons, they must not exist."

@GeniusTwisted Religion has existed since the dawn of times, it is hard for someone to realise this, but the bottom line is MEN invented it. Just as MEN invented many other things to fit it's needs. In this case, the need to believe into something else has twisted their capacity to believe in themselves. Believe in you, and you shall accomplish alot more than believing in an untangible god that can only bear the reasoning you give him.
You more than the others need to wake up.

@jCkD4Ni3L OK, first of all, its 'in'tangible. Second of all, I don't go to church, I don't follow any religion. My point is that the willingness to disregard the possibility of a higher power, and as you put it "believe in you" indicates that you believe your own power to be greater than anything else in the universe. That's where the egotism comes in. Also, if you really 'believe in you' then you should be secure enough to allow others to follow their own path.

@GeniusTwisted, you're missing the point here. Believing in a higher power is being gullible. Be a fool if you must, just don't bring others in your psycosis. Believing in "superior powers" is only a way to more easily accept death; to cope for your fear of the unknown. Also, untill we are PROVEN wrong, what is greater than humanity ?
Like i said, you more than the others need to wakup.... badly.

you are sadly mistaken you believe god should be able to be explained by science. but that isnt what religion is. religion is trying to explain the things that are not set in stone. i will admitt you stay on the earth because of gravity not because god is holding you down, but what about a coin flip if you have equal chance of it falling on either side y would it fall on heads over tails? that is "god" the factor that is not accounted for in science.

Religion is as old as civilisation are, but i think humanity has reached a point where it is no longer in need of it for the simple reason we have advanced beyond those belief. At least some of us have, i'm simply trying to open the eyes of the believers to make them realise than it is better to be awaken now, than die in ignorance. There is no God, most people symply pry on possibility

For those who don't think a pastor would know anything about swordplay, you would probably be delightfully surprised. I know that at Johnson Bible College, where I went, there were a number of both Star Wars geeks and martial artists, and sometimes they would blend. While I agree that some of the way it was presented is by no means canon to Star Wars, it still has the Biblical message and lets face it, the dual was awesome!

Pretty darn good. I just wish that they would've left out the starting crap and just kept it star wars. I also think that they had great potential, and should've aimed much farther than the short 1 minutes of the actual duel. Excellent incorporations of the dual sliding saber!

you obviously completely missed the point. Religion is contradictory of star wars, whereas fanfilms are fan made films based on the concepts of star wars, whether within the universe or not. In no way does RvD contradict with star wars.

once you've learnt anything about a real religion, you'll understand. The only reason that religions such as Jedism work is BECAUSE THEY ARE BASED ENTIRELY AROUND STAR WARS, therefore not contradicting it. This was possibly one of the stupidest comments I've seen.
