  • Notice, at 7:03, while NBC's coverage of the events in Dallas was broadcast in black and white, a COLOR image of local newsman Charles Murphy was "accidentally" transmitted from affiliate WBAP-TV in Dallas/Ft. Worth. One of the RARE moments during the network's complete coverage that anything was colorcast; in those days, only a handful of color shows, mostly on film or videotape, were scheduled on the network. NBC News itself wouldn't begin colorcasting their programs until the fall of 1965.

  • @fromthesidelines i did find that odd and was thinking wow a local tv station's using color and still NBC's in good old black and white
