Im an Aristocrat and very proud of it...And anyone who knows me, knows i am a big fan of the "100", but honestly this was one season that the "100" didnt really impress me too much. I have been seeing the Down Field Drill for years...so this year it was like oh ok...EVERY BAND DID MJ SO IT WAS NOTHING NEW....this was the first year i didnt cheer for the "100" afterwards...and i usually always do....I think we did ok on our show..but truthfully TSU needs better shows...
FAMU can be a little more together at times but honestly I really never saw TSU do better than the 100 I feel TSU has a good band like all the bands do their best I feel the drills are ok but TSU can work on their dance routines gets boring
mmm no, was there tsu sound=shit smaller doesn't not mean you have a better sound and on top of that they over blow , which made the sound equivalent to that of a large hichschool band.
I've been doing a lot of jaw talking. But the truth is, I truly respect FAMU. Decades ago Dr. Foster created a sound that is unique to FAM. That is what makes FAM unique. As a true Aristocrat Alumni, I love TSU but you can't diminish the fact that The Marching 100 has created a persona second to none. That in itself can cause us others to respond with such venomous defensive rhetoric. I hope that through this rhetoric that the top HBCU bands realize that collectively, we are the best!
FAMU graduates numbers. TSU develops quality, just like the band. FAMU, your band is big and raggedy. Face the facts, you are not in the same precision and musicianship class as The Aristocrats, Bethune, and Norfolk State. It's a harsh reality to face. I'm not trying to be critical, I'm just trying to speak the truth to another HBCU. Get some help and clean that band up. First, go on a diet. And finally, hire an assistant with precision drill experience.
i see what you are saying sir/ma'am, but i do have a question for you: can tsu play marches better than famu?? i'm not trying to start an argument, just clarify facts, so take it for what it is..(and all yall youtube haters stay out of this; i want an answer from mr/mrs aristocratify, not anyone else).
FAMU, can you keep the discourse above the Ghetto level? That's what's wrong with you, you keep going Ghetto. Are you one of those one semester, none graduating brothers? Posing as a real FAMU alumni.
A band that plays with a solid sound and impeccable precision is not on the decline. TSU represents outstanding musicianship. Did the previous commenter listen to TSU's performance? I'm a serious music critique and I must admit the Aristocrats were on top of their game. I recently called Professor Edward Graves to complement him on having such a well balanced remarkable group. TSU on the decline, get real, you've gone mental. You must be one of those 70's alumni. Still bitter!
FAMU, you remind me of the Ghetto family living in the suburbs with three cadillacs in the driveway. And you don't have one dime to seen your kids to college. TSU, you remind me of the standard of class. The true middle class. Keep the faith! Don't go Ghetto!
Idk what it is about tsu, but Ived loved this band since I was 13 yrs old when I saw them at the Circle City Classic for the first time in 01. I love their energy, precision, they presence on and off the field everything. True die hard fan, good job and GO TSU!!!!!!!!!!!!
This guy is a fuckin idiot I think i lost brain cells jus commenting back to this clown I'm glad I'm from FAMU....How bout u????If anybody wants to know......U know who show it is
boyyy....I think this is exactly why im not into this season at all....im tired of the MJ tributes......all of them. week after week. I thought the directors knew week 1/2 was enough. but nooooooooooooo

Dis shit was hella boring!!!!!!!!Somebody shoot me. I'm so glad I'm from FAMU!!!!!
amphowar 2 years ago
Hold on! FAMU's recycled show wasn't that tight. In comparison to recent years, FAMU had an average show. FAMU is to busy hiding behind there past!
revmacbnoc 2 years ago
Hiding behind our past? Really?
2003- First MEAC band to perform at Honda BOTB
2004- Dallas Mavericks halftime performance
2005- Superbowl 39
2006- Grammy performance w/ Kanye West & Jamie Foxx
2007- Superbowl 41 Halftime w/ Prince
2008- NY Times, CNN, CBS News, ESPN Gameday, Sports Illustrated
2009- President Barack Obama Inaugural Parade
Yes, we have a history... a rich history... but unlike other bands.... we're still adding to our history.
What has YOUR band done lately?
