@Freakporductions Oh and if you mean a scope like on a hunting rifle 3-9x40 type then we dont use them for practical shooting as they are unsuitable for fast target aquisition,red dot reflex open style sights are the suitable choice,the ATN reflex will set me back about £160 :)

@ARCEYE78 Most people say its about 100mtrs but personally 80mtrs is my limit but then again Im a diabetic which does effect me badly when it comes to accuracy.

For stuff like custom stocks, is 3D printing an option? I haven't done any so far, but software like Autodesk 123D (which is free) can create some nice sculpted designs. The 3D printing could be expensive, though.
@LsBaba Yes funny you say that as i have the pepkura modeling 3D program and have a few designs on there,i have all the halo guns ready for printing on card for building,the battle rifle could be a good base to start from,also like the ODST SMG,need to look for more and have a little play,not sure you know about it but it prints off the 3D model onto card ready to cut out,fold and glue up into a card model,i can then fiberglass/carbon fibre but lots of work involved :)

@IUseMyGunsToHunt Yes i do plan to,will try to get out local where i know there are a lot of bunnies & that normally means farmers wanting free pest control,if i can get a permit then i may use this set up, problem is i have a tapered barrel & that i believe will cause me an issue with moderator fitment unless i can find a very skilled gunsmith to either make an adapter or thread the barrel,the reflex sight will be awesome in the low light.
@hatsan38 Thanks mate,yes parallax free optics are a must for accurate shot placement & not many know about it,clamp your gun on a bench,put crosshairs on a small target 20mts away,look through the scope and see if the crosshairs move away from your target when you move your head left to right,up n down from cheekpiece,some are worse than others and require exact cheek placement everytime to get super tight groups :)
ohh and a shotgun i would have to HIGHLY reccomend to you is a Benelli, any benelli really, but with how your ruger is turning out, i wouls suggest the Benelli super nova tactical
i tell ya i walked right into our local gun shop after i was out on the range, there is a competition here that is desigend around for 22 cal, and the one target is equivalent to 300 yards, this couple next to me had a ruger 10/22 and of course i had my remington 597, now iam more of an open iron sight guy, no scopes and my 597 has a nice scope on it, but i seriously was thinking about giving him the 597 for a ruger lol, yours is simply beast looking, very nicely done!
@1gamoguy Hello mate :) and thankyou,yes the ruger is truly a great rifle and with the many mods available can be made simply amazing,they are just so simple inside and simple imo is best,300 yrds eh,thats a distance for open sights!!best thing about .22lr is how cheap they are to run,a clubmate is trying to get me to buy a Benelli super nova but im not keen on a pump so prob be a rem 1100 or 1187 with serious mods,ihave been offered a trick 1187,hope he still has it when im buying X)
@looperterd I saw one of those yesterday on here,a lot of money for what it is although you do get to shoot wargames with it,you could join a gun club,do your probation & get the real thing,its a bit of a process but if its what you want then go for it,lots of limitations though&limited clubs that entertain practical shooting as it requires the highest level of safety training compared to any other shooting sports,most do bench target shooting & imo very boring but each to their own i suppose :)
@1gamoguy ahhh but with a semi auto your loosing veloctiy, not much but you do, and Benelli's are just a super smooth shooting shotgun and the action is seamless! not to mention since you like the ruger for its simplicity when it comes to internals, the Benelli is as simple as it gets, but is simply amazing! you need to shoot one then decide, i like to buy american made guns, just to support homemade firearms, but Benlli is just awsome
@1gamoguy yes very true but not an issue with steel plates although the top guys can shoot as quick with a pump as a semi but the semi guys will not have wankers cramp halfway through the stage XD,the pump is ultimate for home defence but you cant beat pulling off them rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger,i agree the Benelli is very simple & well designed,i will try one very soon & i'll let you know :)
mate, that rifle looks sick! if i wasnt running the ns200 behind my scope id run one of those red dots on my stealth for the rats
