Our aesthetic sensitivities are remarkably in tune. With very few exceptions, I feel the pictures you chose are strong examples of the artists featured.  As you must know, there are many other photographers to consider. 11 minutes is just not enough time. Nice work. I was wondering where you got all the photo's. They do not appear to be copied from a book. Are they available on the net somewhere?

anyhow it is hard to find photographers nowadays that move u in this way..

Really nice video here. Some of these photos can easily make one nostalgic for yesteryear, even it's an era that was way before the time they were born. The music by Gershwin is also very appropriate, considering the times these pics were snapped in.

I love DeCarava's work. Does anyone know the name of the picture or where i could find it that first pops up at 7:34? Would appreciate the help. THANX! :0)

Pictures like these fills me with reverence , it humbles me too. Glimpses and moments of people and their life, their hardships, their need of expressing themselfes from a moment in time now long gone. We inherit what ever they created and left for us. And some day some one else will look at us, at faded pictures trying to connect & relate and maybe even understand. We all leave our small footprints in time and history without knowing it.

I wonder what mine will be...
