You know I like this game , but I like sonic and the black knight more (saw the review for bk as well) and my most major gripe with this game is the controls. It may be unresponsive, with which I can live with, but it tires you out and makes your elbows hurt because of all the flinging of the wiimote. I don't know if other people have problems with it, but after playing the game for a while, I really need to take a break.

Any non-nintendo-only sonic game is bad let's take a look Shadow the hedgehog: BAD Sonic heroes: not great Sonic unleashed: Half of the game was boring Sonic '06: BAD but what about the story book games? Well.... I have a theory: The story book games were tests, how so? well with secret rings, the controls were difficult In black knight they added broken combat but fixed running In unleashed they fixed combat and kept the running fun... Coincidence?

the cheap items are what make this game fun, the fire crest is helpful you get an attack boost and a cool home attack, the dark crest could have been better it fills your soul gauge faster but offers no defence, the wind crest is nice but if you have ring exchange you won't lose rings but you will die.
Why is the camera so close? The creators should have worked with this game more because it looks, what's the word, it's just way too close. No game I know insists on a constant super-zoom. Kingdom Hearts's camera isn't even that close. It has a much better distance than that.

Speaking of Sonic, I picked up the "Sonic & Knuckles"-cartridge for the Mega Drive (Genesis) some time ago... that might be one of the most brilliant ideas Sega has ever had!
as I have said before even the greatist of sonic fanboys/girls have one new generation sonic game they have a personall hatred of, mine is Sonic and the Secret Rings
Some of the things I didn't like about the game were the lack of platforming, the over-emphasis of speed>precision, the lame multipayer mode, the mandatory missions, and the fact that you have to listen to the main theme over and over again everytime you clear a mission.
If you review Sonic and the Black Knight be sure to play through the game to the fullest before making your conclusian about the score. You will find an enjoyable game.
Lets just thank that I'm not a fan of sonic. I can tell, I would get angry with the game a little to easily. That aggravates me when the wii motion controlles work only 2/3 of the time, or even not at all.
Nice review man. I thought it was okay. What really impressed me about Secret Rings are sales. It sold over a million copies and it will most likely hit to 2 million thanks to Nintendo's success with the Wii and while I was at VGchartz. I've found out the Wii version of Unleashed sold almost a million. I think this proves that Sega has plenty of strengh with Sonic despite the problems they made with the delevopment.
Though the story was good and the graphics are nice, I didn't like this game because of the controls and missions. But the Nail in the coffin is that the music SUCKS! 7 Rings in hand is the most annoying sonic game theme of the series, and all the other tracks are repeating the same 2 lines over and over. The only song I did like was the song from the Erazor djinn fight at the end (the 1st ending fight).

I hated this game. A lot. Sold it a week after I got it. But your score is good. When rating it for the fans, it does seem to fit best as a 3/5.
