  • Many haters are jealous because Cash never changed like sheep do,sheep follow and most legends today are hand made by Holly Wood producers,They change with the styles of the people.

  • music-essentials.blogspot.com/

  • the face on jools when johnny mentions sister rosetta thorpe. i sreongly recomend her, up above my head, secondly dylan and cash, classic

  • Johnny Cash.

    The Original Man in Black.

  • horrific digital effects on the lead guitar are just too much

  • @nshvillewest the modern guitar originated from spain.

  • mr cash ....i love you...thank you for the music of my youth....x

  • thats country right there

  • AVFC

  • legeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeend

  • his voice is amazing here!

  • That footage there with Dylan is a favoutite of mine, that I was just watching before I found this thread. Great stuff.

  • Excelente.

  • 1 person dislikes Johnny Cash?

i mean, it's within their rights.... but it's still hard to believe...

  • He's got the best voice in the world's history.

  • Cold shivers... Everytime I hear the Man in Black's voice... Thank you mr Johnny Cash.

  • Wonderful interview , thaks for putting it up .They just don't make them like that anymore.

  • I listen to Slam-Death and Viking-Metal but Johnny Cash is GOD!(maybe Satan to)

  • @nshvillewest Apart from the guitar being invented in Europe.

  • WOW! Johnny Cash had such an effect on people. How often do we see a GRINNING Bob Dylan? 6:12 - 6:14. June Carter Cash said the biggest rock stars in the world could be up on stage, but if John walked on to join them, they would just shrink.

  • now there's a nice little video right here

  • cash is my hero n always will be, R.I.P. my friend!

  • 5:55 is he crying?

  • @nshvillewest Lol, all Americans originate from Europe. When Britain came to America, everybody living there were colonials who then later called themselves American after they won independence. So nothing is solely "American" considering you are technically the most recent race of people on the earth.

  • @ItsNotASlim ...except, of course, for all the Americans who don't originate from Europe. Between 1/4 and 1/3, depending. And 'solely American' would be Native American. But generally the label 'American' is as valid as Brasilian, Singaporean, Argentinian, Australian, und so weiter.

Other than that, dunno what nshvillewest said, nor do I care >.>

  • @ItsNotASlim "American" is not a race. It's a person that is attributed to the American Nation. Chinese, Russian, Germans is a race. Also, not ALL Americans originate from Europe, some came from Asia, India, Eastern Europe, South America, and so on.. "all Americans originate from Europe". LOL What a myopic and generic view you have!

  • @nshvillewest

nothing other than all the singers and music can be traced back to Europe.

  • The essence of cool.

  • What a voice this man had - I believe every word he sings - he even makes this old chestnut believable. My contention has always been that the best music is simple and true and no one was truer than Johnny .It seems that extreme poverty in childhood goes to produce the best singers - not sure why that should be.

  • timeless!

  • Priceless...

  • When I think of the negative things like his drug use, then hear his music, I forgive him quickly.

  • I wish I'd gone to see him when he did his tour in the 90's; love his music.

  • drylake92, girl from the north country fair... i think.

  • That man put on a great show no matter what age he was. Does anyone have any idea what the name of that song he done with Bob Dylan is called, its brilliant classic footage.

  • @drylake92

No its not north county fair. It is know as "One too many mornings" or "A thousand miles behind".

  • Anyone no when this was recorded

  • @bigals1000 1994

  • @EliteUBH Cheers buddy

  • thats Dave Barnett, hes from Shropshire

  • Who is the guitarist with the Stetson???

  • r.i.p a legend

  • anyone know when this was recorded?

  • to the best of my knowledge this is from 1994, the same year that Johnny played Glastonbury.

  • one word - legend

  • this is beatiful

  • In all honesty not an amazing guitar player and not an amazing voice...but somehow he made it amazing :L ! He sure knew how to write a meloday and his voice WAS perfect :D legend! And i aint going to say rest in peace cause hes probably still putting on one hell of a show in the afterlife wherever and whatever it may be :P

  • I agree with all you commented on apart from the Guitar theory. To pick an alternative base strum style and keep the ryhthem whilst singing is an amazing skill to of had, that would of took much practice to master.

  • His voice got a little tired and hoarse in the 90s. Vocally he probably was at his prime before he got into drugs in the late fifties and from about 68 and the Folsom album up to 1993 when he did the famous acoustic album. But true, as yo said, it was the way he sang and his enormous personal touch to it that made him such a legend!

  • He could have sung a phone book, and still it would have been great.

  • This is true

  • He's not just singing, he's telling story... every time. He's not the star in the stage, the sing is the main thing.

  • @Saranaeth ??? "...and not an amazing voice..." , "...his voice WAS perfect..". hOW IS THAT??

  • i was hoping * blazes of glory* + * cryin* would last

  • just hoping it would last , and it did.

  • i fucking love that man!

  • gene simmons is starting to look a lot like mr cash here.

  • Wow - Dylan and Cash together. All you need is Robert Smith from the Cure and you have a... have a.... sorry, thats a mistake - Robert Smith is a depressive self serving goth twat.

  • Hi, sorry am ignorant - when was this filmed?

Many thanks, it's really lovely. I know he died a couple of years ago, but don't know when he made this. Long time before?

  • He seemed emotional while he was watching the footage.

  • in truth it was the other way around!

  • The guy at 6:12 looks just like Adam Sandler to me. :D

  • I hope you're not serious about not knowing thats Bob Dylan. But it's funny, he does look like Adam Sandler...weird.

  • Actually I am. At least I know now...

  • my god he does?

    he,he

  • WTF ! TRUE ! O:

  • Like a Zack de La Rocha-Adam Sandler Hybrid

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • LEGEND,enough said

  • When you're talking about a performer of Johnny Cash's status and calibre, it doesn't matter whether his songs derive from the American South West or Mars. The man and his music were and remain utterly magnificent.

  • god he is missed. johnny, not jools. although jools musical purity is missed.

  • Actually Johnny Cash is very well known and loved over here, watch his set at Glastonbury 1994

  • absolute legend one off the best artists to come out in our lifetime

  • Master!

  • He's using a wireless transmitter.

  • I can't se it; is it inside the guitar?

  • I wonder WTF goes thru a British mind when they hear music like this...The American South West. Wonder what images it conjures up.

  • Probably the american south west. We're not aliens, we're British.
