its interesting but i can see balance being a problem for some people lol. I could see how shaky that man's legs were in the video. Cool idea but id love to see it be able to support wherever you put your foot. The bridge decides for you where you will go next.
This is really amazing! It seems like you are either very cautious about stepping on the next "stepping stone." Maybe draining holes in the steps would help it rise easier.
I'll probably never have the chance in my life to experience it, but love the concept.
I just walked across the installation in Belgium. A docent reset some of the stuck pads before I went across, so I still got the full effect. We (a bunch of design students from Eindhoven) were all very impressed.
Thanks for going to see! There are some problems- it's still a prototype really- and it's not such an easy thing to make - plus it's suffering a bit from so many people going to see it- but I'm glad you enjoyed it- and with what I've learned from this one I've got solutions for the problems (there are a few) for next time.
Yes it's for real. The one in the film was in London in 2006, and there's one on now in Belgium in a gallery called Z33- Although it's had technical problems so it's not always working propperly.
Hello- If anyone would like to see the new (much better) version of this for real, it will be on in Z33 in Hasselt (Belgium) from may the 30th for about 3 months. Thanks,
Michael Cross is my name! give it back

I'd love to see a more speedy version of it, following your steps as you walk, so you can walk at a normal speed. ;)
