  • Speaking of Thunderbolt, have you got the HTC Thunderbolt 4G LTE for Verizon, Charlie? It's expensive, though - $350!

  • @maggio211 LOL really? lol

  • cool sirens and cute cats all in one vid!!!!

  • You have it on the blower yet?

  • @Blue10AEMia I wish, but we can't seem to find a mounting flange for it. I'd fabricate one..but I'd rather have the real deal just to be safe. Know anyone who has one that they want to get rid of?

  • @soccerdude7330 Check your inbox, found you some.

  • can you send me 3 of thoes FS decalls please? If you say yes, i will pm you with my shipping adress. I will even pay you back the money you had to pay for it to get shipped here. What do you say, let's make a deal, shal we?

  • Nice to see that you're giving a tbolt a second life. I still wonder what st. Louis did with the 1000t a couple doors down. Now we got an annoying ass whelen

  • You know, I'd take a model 2t, slap the chopper from that in your thunderbolt, BAM, A rare 4/5 port :)

  • Hey Charlie what do you think of my ideas I put as comments on this video? I have some blueprint design apps on my itouch so I can email pics of new designs to you. Email me if you have any questions.

    Your friend, Matthew Roomsburg

  • This way you can use a phase converter with it so you can power up your thunderbeam siren with the hand crank genarator you made out of a thunderbolt rotator unit. You can also power other things that require a 3 phase ac current also.

  • You can also turn the rotator itself into a hand crank genarator but you might want to get a second one to do that with

  • That coat of yellow matches the yellow paint scheme that some traffic signals have

  • Nice paint job. I could give you some ideas for custom paint schemes though

  • Yo Charles! haha. I never was really into the sirens but man, that Thunderbolt project looks really cool. You are doing a great resto job on it. Keep it up.

    -Nick

  • I'm chris kush from facebook, Nice thunderbolt btw, where in northern indiana can i find or buy any kind of siren.

  • your voice has changed ;)

  • BTW after you restore the T-bolt are you going to restore the Sterling. You should use it as a backup siren.

  • Hope jake doen't chase your cat around. At my aunt's house thier dog and cat never stop fighting. It's so annoying. Hows progress on it now.

  • at 0:25 where did you get those lights on the left side of the screen?

  • a cat named kitty. how original lololol

  • cute cat man

  • can't wait to hear it when fully restored

  • So whats the plug...screw...thingy for on the chopper housing for?, and the paint make it looks awesome and look awesome also because of the HD there were 2 choices 780 or 1080P that really good quality! : )

  • Excellent work. I can only dream of having a workshop like yours.. Hope to see video of it all done and working :)

  • I don't have a quark of the attention span you have to do all this stuff =D Nice work.

  • hey i have a bumblebolt and it is louder than hell

  • Could you provide us with some videos of it?

  • Good Luck! Are you going to paint it Bumblebolt style? Also......Why did you lie about me on the ARS Siren Board?

  • Nope, it's staying CD Yellow.

Lying about you on ARS? What do you mean??

  • Comment removed

  • I don't recall making any posts even with your name in it..much less any at all on ARS lately. What did it say? PM it to me, I gotta see what's going on..

  • Your account may have been hijacked?

  • It was apparently in the User Feedback Jason claimed....It was a pretty bad post as I've heard...

  • Check your Inbox....

  • oh btw cute cat

  • can you send me some of those decals? PLEASE REPLY...

  • are you going to convert this to a 1000t, cause i really think you should

  • Yup, whenever I can find myself a 5/6 port chopper.

  • good luck

  • that is cool! where did you get the fs and warning stickers?

  • nice cat i wouldnt say thatg because i can die from them

  • oooo! you restored it nicely! great job!

  • cute cat, good luck with your thunderbolt.

  • make sure you center the decals perfectly :) wouldn't look professional if u didn't

  • I know that ;) I can't stand anything that isn't perfectly straight and centered.

  • nice restore job :P

  • News Flash: Cat driving heavy machinery!

    LOL

Once again you don't leave me disappointed with your siren vids.

  • boo 2 rpms but love everything

  • Excellent job, Charlie! Where did you get the decals from?

  • Thanks! I ordered them directly from Federal Signal.

  • Thats cool. :)

  • So you're saying you'll be using a 2T for your dual-toned chopper?

  • No no, I said I won't be using it since it would waste a good 2T siren.

  • Oh. You would rather have a 5/6 port chopper than a 4/5?

  • Yep ;)

  • Nice work so far on that Thunderbolt 1000! I have four questions. What is the value of the starter capacitor for the rotator motor? What voltage? How many Amps does that motor draw? What are the brushes that ride on the collector rings made of? I assume graffite, even though I can't spell it.

  • Do you have a good enough power supply to power it cause I remember you saying that you did not have enough power to power your thunderbeam.

  • Yep, we have an underground 400 amp single phase service at our house. I couldn't run the Thunderbeam because it took 3 phase power, which I didn't have access to.

  • did u get this from Denver like i told u? lol

  • Nope, bought it from Ed Wise at Sirens for Cities in GA.

  • Nice job Charlie, that T-Bolt is in good hands ;)

  • Great job on Finally getting your thunderbolt Charlie :).

  • You can fix the dent by putting water in it and freezing it.

  • you sound like me when you talk, but nicd vid. hope you get it done soon

  • Hooray for the Thunderbolt!

  • You could put the chopper from your 2T in that and make it a 1000T!

That T-Bolt's gonna probably be the best looking, sounding and best maintained one in TN!

  • Awesome! : ), hey were can you buy some decals?

  • You can call FS and order them directly (have part numbers ready) or just order them from me, since I've got a fairly good stock of them in my supply cabinet ;)
