This way you can use a phase converter with it so you can power up your thunderbeam siren with the hand crank genarator you made out of a thunderbolt rotator unit. You can also power other things that require a 3 phase ac current also.

Nice work so far on that Thunderbolt 1000! I have four questions. What is the value of the starter capacitor for the rotator motor? What voltage? How many Amps does that motor draw? What are the brushes that ride on the collector rings made of? I assume graffite, even though I can't spell it.

Yep, we have an underground 400 amp single phase service at our house. I couldn't run the Thunderbeam because it took 3 phase power, which I didn't have access to.
