How did you hit the board with your foot?

My toes were slightly pointed and I hit with the top of my foot. Then all I needed to do was kick through. The speed from the rotation was enough to break the board.

Yea, I'm about 5'10" and I weight around 150ish. I'm working mostly on gaining strength and speed, so my weight hasn't changed drastically.
